We were not happy with our therapist
We were not happy with our therapist, Scott. Besides cutting our extremely expensive session short, he showed an unusual interest in my and my husband's sex life. We both thought this was strange, so I asked a therapist friend whether or not the number and depth of his questions were protocol and she assured me they were not. We will not be returning.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We are sorry to hear that your experience did not meet your expectations. Due to HIPAA privacy laws, we cannot confirm or deny whether the reviewer is or has been a client of Palmetto Counseling, LLC. In relationship therapy, clinicians may explore a variety of topics — including intimacy and sexual concerns — when clinically relevant to the goals of treatment. These conversations are always intended to be handled with professionalism, sensitivity, and clear therapeutic purpose. That said, feeling uncomfortable in session is important feedback, and we take concerns about boundaries and session experience very seriously. Session length and structure should also be clearly communicated. Because confidentiality prevents us from discussing specifics publicly, I invite you to contact me directly so I can better understand your concerns and address them appropriately. I regret that your experience did not meet expectations. I would welcome the opportunity to learn more and address your concerns directly. Please feel free to reach out to me at (803) 329-9639 or [email protected]. We value your feedback and remain dedicated to continuously improving the care we provide. Sincerely, Rich Schlauch, MSW, LISW-CP President / CEO
