We have had Password Boss for over a year and it has been a headache from the start. IF you have multiple user logins for one website - it cannot remember more than one login. IF you reset a password- Password Boss does not update the new password. The Password Boss icon is constantly in the way of data fields - you have to constantly exit the icon in order view the text field. DO NOT GO WITH PASSWORD BOSS!!!

PasswordBoss as a desktop app was a usable product. We have recently moved over to the web version and it is now a complete disaster. Irritating pop ups when on sites, constant relogging in and breaks very easily needing reinstall with potential data loss. Not sure how this passed as a release candidate product. Awful.

I have been using password boss since I worked for by buddies IT company. At first, it seemed great however as I used it, it became an annoyance! It tries to put your password in everything you click on to fill out with the web browser add-on. But that is not even the worst they do. It you use it for personal use, and you do not renew your subscription, it does not update to the cloud. Well they like to do this thing at that point where they trick you into changing your master password which deletes all your saved logins. Well, without the backup, you are SOL on getting those back. The first time this happened, I chalked it up to I didn't know any better about the deleting the logins when changing the master password, lesson learned. Well this time I knew better, when money became tight and could not afford to upgrade for a while I planned and renewing when I could. NOT ANYMORE!! This time I managed to avoid doing it even though the software kept doing it to me over and over. I just closed it out and logged in again, no problems. Until tonight, it forced me to change it, erasing all my passwords. Let's just say I will not be helping a company that has that kind of shady practices anymore!!

Been over 30 days and no reply from support. Lifetime deals are a bad idea as their no support. If you don't believe send an email and you will get 0 replays back. I'm now looking at pCloud Pass or NordPass. Both have support when you email them.

After using this software among my team for a painstaking 1.5+ years we have given up. The software is horrendously slow, crashes constantly on any OS and platform, sharing is a nightmare, security is lacking. More times than we can count the software has had a glitch or bug (sometimes inherent in the design) that has rolled back our credentials to older data that is no-longer accurate. And we have experienced more accidental purges of some, most and even ALL of our data more times than we can count. The company still does not have a system in place to log or track what is happening at any given time, so neither can they help you find out what happened, recover or even troubleshoot themselves. Their backups don't backup all of the database data, and restores don't work. EVERY initiation of a ticket results in a quick blame any issues on 3rd party AV or whatever they can. Then when it is finally proven that it is their software, they are apathetic. Steve Wise the owner/founder is fully aware of all issues and is partly in denial as he occasionally comes back with "we found the bug and fixed it" responses, only to have a repeat a couple weeks later. After so much gross negligence with their software purging our data we sent their contract to legal review who say that "fine print" nullifies them of all responsibility to provide the very core of the services that their product claims to provide. This product is NOT safe or ready for production and anyone that uses it should proceed with severe caution. Further, since PB's marketing team is quick to respond and call bad reviews lies, if anyone questions any of this, reach out to me and I will forward the tickets and examples.

I think password boss compromised my passwords, After a year when trying to login to online bank using boss, it would go to change security details page as if someone had my pass word and then try to change security things to gain access, it only did this with password boss which shows it was the password boss infrastructure itself that was trying to gain access, not a third party. I do not recommend..Also they cheat saying licence for 5 devices but they weazle out ,they mean 5 activations. They should be clear and say 5 activations and not 5 devices, this shows cheating, and so you should not trust them with your passwords. To test your passwords they just search the internet for same instances !!! and remember it could only be password boss dodgy activity causing my online bank page to go to change security details when trying to log in using password boss. I still do not trust them, they said in reply that you can reuse the 5 licences by contacting support but it was support that told me that I could not reuse them and forced me to purchase another unlimited licence but then I had the online baking problem so have never used my forced to purchase extra licence. I purchased sticky password instead and am pleased with that one. I am not deliberately misleading, I am going by my actual experience. I do not have fancy false speech writers like polioticians and businesses.

It’s unfortunate with the issue you’re having with your online bank account. However, your review is false, misleading and simply not true. Password Boss does not have ANY access to any passwords for ANY users of our product. Period. Your other claims are totally inaccurate as well. If you experience any sort of functionality issues with our product, we encourage you to reach out to our support department who can work with you on a resolution. We are not quite clear or have any inquiries by you on your specific use case, but what may be happening is that after logging in with Password Boss the login button is not being properly detected, and a different button is being clicked. Your comments on how we handle licenses for users who purchase a 5-device license are also completely inaccurate. We offer 5-device licenses as a promotional offer at a discounted price in some markets. If you purchase a 5-device license this allows you to install and access your Password Boss account on 5 devices at a time. If you change a device and want to install Password Boss on a new device all that is required is that you delete on of your existing devices from your account to free up one of your device licenses. Again, this could be resolved with a simple request to our Support department. We hope you reach out to our Support Team so that we can best help resolve your specific issue. Thank you.
Password Boss to me wasnt the best. Too fancy for me, slow experience, there are imho better password managers out there.

Horrible company. I bought lifetime access and when I have to reinstall windows and reinstall program. I could not do it as they say " After you have added 3 devices to your account you will have reached the limit on the license you purchased. If you will be using more than 3 devices, then a standard subscription may be a better fit for you. " So if you have to re-install for any reason ,, eg changed your phone, change your laptop, upgrade your OS in your laptop or have to reinstall for any reason.. you lose you access as you wont be able to get your access back. I wont recommend ever, i lost my money to this company .Buyers BEWARE. Plus Browser extension only work if you have application installed in your PC ,, means it will not work in your work laptop if you have have extension( as i cannot install Passwordboss locally in my password + it will count as one more installation which you do not have privilege to install)

Ben - It sounds like you many have purchased a subscription that is not the best fit for what you are looking for, and now you are upset with Password Boss because of it. The subscription you purchased was a heavily discounted promotion that clearly stated when you made the purchase that the subscription is valid for 3 device activations, and that you could not transfer the activations to other devices. This limit is why you paid much less that the full retail price. Your complaint that the browser extension does not work without the application being installed is completely unfounded. The application is designed to work with the browser extension, the browser extension needs the application to function. I am not sure why you expected that pieces could be separated, and that the application could somehow function, but it was not from Password Boss. Ben, the only thing you seem to be upset with here is yourself. The Password Boss application works as advertised and we stand behind our product as being the best password manager available.
