PACIFIC RECOMMENDED LE MERIDIEN AS A 5 START HOTEL AND IT WAS NOT, FOOD WAS AWFUL, THEY CALLED THEM SELF FRENCH BUT NOT CLOSE, PACIFIC SHOULD HAVE TOLD US THAT THE DRINKING WATER, & SODA WAS NOT INCLUDED IN OUR PACKAGE AND THAT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE PAID SEPARATELY, EVEN THOUGH THE STAFF WAS VERY NICE, THE HOTEL IT SELF WAS NOT

They did plan the trip and all parts went as scheduled. The issue is that they did not ask if we would like better accommodations some of the hotels were in less than optimal areas and lower end hotels. The flight times were red eye flights and may have been the only option but the return flight was the biggest issue, the scheduled shuttle dropped us at the airport 3 hours before it opened which forced us to sit outside in a poor area they should have alerted us and we may have scheduled a dinner then the airport So review the itinerary and question each part, are there better options and what is the wait between segments

Dear Vince, Thank you very much for taking the time to share your experience. We are sorry to hear that the hotels were not up to your standards. We offer a variety of packages varying in price and levels of accommodations (but nothing below 3 ½ stars). We outline all the hotels in the travel documents and, while not pushing to upsell, we are happy to offer more upscale accommodations upon clients’ request and hotel availability. You are correct about red-eye flights being the only possible option. Unfortunately, the timing is not always the best when coordinating flights and other services (such as Moorea ferry). There’s a bit of a gap between the last ferry from Moorea and the international flight departure, but Papeete International airport open 24/7 – there’s a sitting area, a few shops, luggage storage and a café. We are grateful for your feedback as it prompted us to create a service that would allow our customers to visit downtown Papeete for dinner. We will be adding this option to our packages ending in Moorea. Thank you again for your valuable input.
Booked a trip and spent good money. Wish we were informed when booking that a cyclone was even a possibility as they said after we got there that a cyclone was not that unusual especially in March April timeframe. We discussed rain, but not something that would and did alter our trip dramatically to the tune of paying extra to stay in a roach motel 2 miles from the airport because that was all that was available. It was bad enough that if we ended up having to stay one more night in that motel we were going to fly back early and just ask for a total refund. We are not hard people to get along with at all, just disappointed that no plan B was even discussed when our agent knew full well neither of us had ever been there before and had limited experience in foreign countries. Thankfully it was only a 24-36 hour period in holding but with what we paid one night lost was pricy as well as having to pay on top of that for food and lodging (things I’d already obviously paid top dollar for). Needless to say we fully plan on heading not only back to fiji but to Cook Islands and to Tahiti so once this settles down a bit I may or may not call again to book this upcoming travel. Sincerely, Wt

Dear Billy, Thank you very much for taking the time to share your experience. We are sorry to hear that recent cyclone affected your travel plans. Unfortunately, tropical islands are prone to cyclones and we can't predict them. They come with a short warning and leave the islands as quickly (as you mentioned 24-36 hours). It can happen any time between November and May and sometimes even during the winter months of Jun - Oct. These types of force major circumstances are not something we can plan for or be held accountable for. Our team on the ground as well as the airline do their best assisting customers whose travel got interrupted - finding people temporarily accommodation, rebooking flights, rerouting etc. Sometimes those arrangements are not the best, but the only available option. We are glad that you want to continue exploring the amazing South Pacific Islands and hope that your next trip will be much smoother.
Great trip but a week too long..got off and on planes 13 different times and custom clearance in New Zealand was so combersom.
