My middle schooler is an avid science lover. He loves Olya because he feels like they augment his knowledge with interesting topics that aren't always included in basic science textbooks and they often cover current events in science. As a parent, I love the ad-free high quality educational content and the high quality layout and printing.

The breadth of content hits any technical or scientific interest. I bought it for my grandson who will be 12 next year. I have been reading it cover to cover for two years and will continue. He will have to suffer second hand issues.

Our 13 year old reads every issue the week it arrives.

This magazine is full of interesting articles and visual graphics that help bring science alive for my teenager. She says it is her favorite magazine and she devours it cover to cover.

Oyla is the best magazine I’ve read since I first discovered National Geographic as a teenager. It is a great resource for middle and high school kids but I’m reviewing this as a 70-year old woman. I enjoy it as an adult because the writing never talks down to the reader. Instead, each article provides clear, to the point science-related stories with enough background information and illustrations to bring the reader up to speed on a subject they know nothing about. And that seems to be the point-to introduce young (and old) readers to the wide variety of fascinating ways science touches our lives. I also appreciate that “science” is broadly interpreted to include psychology, sociology, and critical thinking. Oyla is the only magazine I read cover-to-cover (well I don’t always read the math and physics articles). I highly recommend it to anyone with a curious mind.

We originally order this magazine for our granddaughter but I have to say my husband and I absolutely love the magazine ourselves. The layout and articles are really superb. This magazine is awesome for kids but maturely written so adults love it as much! We ended up ordering the back issues and we keep them at our cabin.

Outstanding science articles, excellent graphics and pictures on a wide variety of topics. It is the greatest magazine for anyone, not just children.
