Mountain Splendor was one of the first cabins built in the Starr Crest Resort. The resort was a dream become reality by Randy Ussery Construction. Outrageous Cabins has been in business since 2009 and has grown from just 4 cabins to 53. The owner Thomas Gigliotti takes great pride in his cabins and sees to it that each Guest has the best possible stay and experience from the time of check-in to the time of departure.

Leisa & Al, Thank you for the great review! We appreciate you staying with us every year and we look forward to having you come back next year!!
The view was outstanding. Everything was clean and well-maintained. Although the furniture was a little rustic for our taste we really enjoyed our stay here. We saw a mother bear and her three cubs cross the road in front of the cabin. We really were glad the cabin was close to Pigeon Forget restaurants and shops.

Magdalene, We look forward to having you stay with us again in the future. Thank you for taking the time to review us, we appreciate it!
The cabin was in a perfect location with a great view. Check in was easy and we had no problem getting to the cabin. The cabin was very clean and had everything you needed. The free wifi was a added plus and very helpful. The hot tub of course came in handy at night after a long day of hiking. The games upstairs were fun and the sound system was top notch. We will be back.

Fast courteous service upon check in. The cabin was all it was advertised to be and more. When I go to Pidgeon Forge area again, this is where I would choose to stay.

Teresa, Thank you for the great review and we appreciate you recommending us to your friends and family! We look forward to having you come back and stay with us.
We were very pleased with our stay at Outrageous Cabins. Our cabin appeared just as it was listed on the company website. We had a minor problem with the video gaming system in the upper level and the company had someone there that day to fix it. Check in and check out were very simple, and we were provided with excellent directions to get to the cabin. Cabin was incredibly clean and well kept. We had a lovely view of the mountains from our cabin from the surrounding resort area. We loved being able to sit on the porch in the morning at watch the sunrise while drinking coffee. We have already recommended your company to several friends and definitely plan to return to an Outrageous Cabin property for a future trip to the Great Smokey Mountains. Thank you very much for helping us to enjoy a lovely family vacation.

Nicole, Thank you for the great review! We are so happy to hear that you enjoyed your stay with us and are already recommending us to others! We really appreciate that. We look forward to having you stay with us again in the future. I recommend calling to book your next reservation so our staff can discuss your cabin options and get you one of the best cabins we have!
My husband and I have stayed in the Outrageous Cabins before. However, this time we stayed in slightly different ones - the Country Pines Resort. Unfortunately, as soon as we came in we noticed the humidity in the cabins. We changed the temperature and tried turning down the air conditioning, but this was stuck at 78 degrees and only kept increasing throughout the night. I was disappointed that the staff had not come in and inspected to make sure everything in the cabin was working properly before they gave us the key. If they knew there was a malfunction, they should have let us stayed in a different cabin. Also, in the pictures there was an amazing view of the mountains that could be seen by the cabins - however, when we looked out from the cabin - there was no such view! It was just surrounded by the back of other cabins - there was not much privacy. I don't understand why this was advertised if that's not how it really was. I felt very cheated of the rate that we paid for our experience. We came for our 1st anniversary trip. I am not sure if I will ever reserve a cabin with them again.

Dear Shazia, We are sorry to hear that you did not have a good experience with us this time. Did you call the office and report the A/C problem? We could have called our A/C repair company and have it fixed that day. We are sorry that our housekeepers did not report the problem to the front office. At that time we only had an off-site maintenance team but we have recently hired a full time on-site maintenance man so we can prevent these issues from happening. Can you let us know where you saw pictures with a mountain view? I see you stayed in the cabin Tucked Away in Country Pines Resort but the pictures we have on our website do not show a mountain view for that cabin. If you prefer the mountain views we recommend staying in the Starr Crest Resort and calling the office to book the reservation so we can give you the cabin you are looking for. We do hope that you will give us another chance and stay with us again. Thank you for leaving your feedback so we can continue to improve!
