A recent order ended up having most of my items backordered. I was initially informed only one item was backordered and asked to have the item canceled and the remaining items shipped. In confirming shipping, the business then also informed me that most of my other items were also backordered. I requested all the backordered items canceled and refunded. This request was acknowledged in writing, the in-stock items shipped, and now several weeks have gone by and I haven't been refunded my remaining balance for the items that never shipped. I will not be doing business with them again.

Do NOT purchase from OLFS!!!! Terrible customer service. Item was not as described (printed on an odd open weave, not regular cotton). No one answers the phone or monitors the customer service email. Once my polite email was returned, they flatly refused to honor a refund.

I have been ordering from this company since 2023. I have placed both large and small orders and can confidently say that buying small is the only way to go with them. When I have bought two different kinds of fabric, three yards each, for example, the package will arrive on time. When it comes to large orders, I have had nothing but issues. The most common issues I face are back orders that are not stated at first. They will also sometimes ship one fabric at a time and won't tell you when the rest of your order will ship. The only way to get this information is when you ask their AI customer service, which can either be a useful tool for solving your issue or a back-and-forth game for information. Overall, while I have gotten very good quality fabric from this company, I do not think they are very organized.

My fabric was backordered November 2025, I was charged for it in December. June 6, I cancelled the order and was told twice (email) that it was being sent to accounting marked "urgent." Have not been able to contact them again through email, chat (which turns out to be email) nor calling: gave up after 30 minutes on hold, then busy or unanswered since then. It's like they are ghosting my number. Today is July 16. In this day of few brick and mortar fabric stores, I'm extremely disappointed!

Do not buy from this fabric store! I bought fabric in November 2025 for a Christmas project. There was nothing stating that the fabric was on backorder. It was in stock. when I did not receive my fabric when I was supposed to a couple of weeks later, I was told that because of shipping that it was not going to be available until a month later which really screwed up Christmas gifts that I was in the process of making for a little girl. I waited the month never got the fabric called customer service. They assured me that I would get the fabric that it was coming. It’s still on backorder. I called every single month until May 2026 finally, I asked for a refund for my money back. I was told I would get the refund in 3 to 4 business days a month later I still did not have my refund. I called again. They assured me that they were going to escalate it up to the financial department. I would have my refund that day again never received a refund. I called today. I asked to speak with a supervisor I was told unfortunately there’s only two people that work customer service and the owner and the financial department aren’t available. They don’t take calls. I said well how am I supposed to get my money back? I’ve been told three times now that I was going to get a refund. Supposedly she put me on hold got a hold of the financial department and told me that I was going to be getting a credit memo to my email stating that they’re refunding the money we’ll see, but I can guarantee you I will not be refunded the money and the sad part is when I called my bank. My credit union told me that because it was over two months since I had purchased the fabric. I can’t get my money back from them. I would have to fight it out with the merchant. So basically I am out $231.25. I’m laid off currently and I really can’t afford to be out that kind of money. And I’ve never heard of a company where you can’t escalate any issues up to some kind of a manager or a supervisor. I asked the call center girl who is your boss? She didn’t have an answer for me. This is a scam.

ordered 160 yards of fabric in January 2026. Was backordered 20 yards which wasn't a huge deal but they charged us for the backordered yardage and I have had to call and email weekly for the last 4 1/2 months with no refund issued. Every week Andrew responds to my email with, "The refund has been sent to the accounting team for processing, and they are working on the refunds this week. I have marked this as urgent, so they process it by end of the week." This is a small non-profit that support traumatized kids. We can't afford to just write on a couple hundred dollars.

I ordered some foam...about $500 worth in January...5 months later...no foam...but monthly lies that is was shipping next week. Finally, I canceled the order and asked for a refund....which was promised in a few days. It has now been two weeks with no refund...and the same line of "next week" B.S.

This store’s customer service is absolutely terrible. I wouldn’t recommend buying anything from them. When I ordered fabric for my wedding dress, they told me it would take 3-5 business days to arrive. They never mentioned that they would expect another 2 days to process the order and then add those 2 days to the 3-5 business days. I bought the fabric 2 weeks before my wedding, and we were expecting to receive it last Friday. It’s Wednesday now, and we still haven’t received it. When I called the store, the two people who answered the phone were completely helpless and disrespectful. They didn’t seem to know what to do and were rude to me. If I could give them a -5-star rating, I would.
