The sales staff oversold their service. The money back thing is a scam. They charged me 70 dollars out of 116 dollars for activation etc. Plus you will pay to send their router back. They never say a word of any of that in the sales pitch. They tell you how fast it will be plus lied about 5g service in my area. Just go get starlink and save yourself a bunch of aggravation.

Awful customer service and borderline scam. Stay away from this service! I was sent a faulty modem and was charged an extra month after I requested a cancelation of service and was not refunded for either, even after I sent the modem back. If you are reading this, this is your sign to run away from Nomad internet!

We had Nomad for about a year, maybe a little more. All was going well until the local AT&T tower underwent maintenance and our internet stopped working. Clearly they were piggybacking on the tower. It rooms months and hundreds of dollars in trying to fix it before we gave up, then it tools months for them to cancel our service all while we paid for it! This company is such a scam and their customer service is non-existent- literally. It can only be done via email there is no one you can call to trouble shoot a problem.

Wish I had taken the time to read all the reviews before signing up but I was desperate for internet service. Had 14 days to to try it for free. Ordered it on 6/30/23 received it about a week later. Tried it in every room in the house but didn’t get good reception. Requested to return on 7/19 and received RMA same day and returned same day. They received in on 7/24 at 3:12 PM. It is 8/16/23 and I have called 4 times. They take all the information and always assure me I will receive an email the next day. It’s been 23 days and nothing..no credit..no email. They even sent me a past due notice even though the account was set up for auto pay with my credit card and they hit my account on 8/3/23 when I had returned it on 7/24/23. They have been a nightmare

Owner is currently being sued by the state of Texas. This was a scam.

I would give it zero stars if I could. Nightmare company. It’s an act of congress to get your account cancelled. Hundreds of dollars wasted never mind the absolute absurdity of it all. Don’t do it you’ll regret it. Just take a look at what they’ve done to people over and over on the Bbb website.

Updated to 5 stars on 6/26 and why! It works and works like a champ. I finally got in touch with Nomad support (the phone system didn't keep kicking me out), they were very helpful and we got the issue resolved. Part of the issues were my fault as I was frustrated and wanted to cancel the service before the end of the trial period. My take on what happened is it doesn't appear the package/modem/account were linked correctly initially, then when I couldn't reach customer service I wanted to cancel and initiated that process. Today customer support indicated it showed the account disabled. After we got that straightened out they got the all the pieces in sync and it popped right in (trust me I tested it with one of the slowest, most obnoxious websites I know, while tech support was still on the phone). If this level of tech support is what I can expect I am more than satisfied. Thanks Nomad Tech Support for the effort! We received the device on Sunday (6/18). Due to our schedule I couldn't setup to test it until today (Thursday). I am now about 8 hours into this whole process and frustrated beyond belief. Modem comes up, connects and then tells us no internet connection. We have tried everything and it will not connect to the internet. We have tried pinging the device, doesn't find it. WiFi portion works I can connect to the device but that is as far as I can get. I called customer service and could not reach tech support it dropped the call or just cut off. I tried using their "live person chat"...that was dismal and did not function. I called back multiple times and after about the 8th attempted phone call I finally decided to go to sales and would hold until I died or they answered. After 30 minutes I was connected to a representative but he was just a glorified receptionist taking down information and sending it off to someone to deal with, so essentially no help. I was told they will send an email about the return. I used their customer support form trying to reach technical support so far no response (that was almost 16 hours ago). I am going to get in touch with my credit card company tomorrow to see if I can put a dispute hold on the charges until I get a response. We are not neophytes when it comes to tech. We both have worked data communications and networking for almost 40 years each; we know how this stuff works and can pretty much setup and/or fix things in our sleep. If we can't get it functional - I don't know how the average customer would be able to. I really need a mobile hotspot and not just my phone in the next two weeks. As much as it pains me I am probably going to have to get in bed with T-Mobile or AT&T for one of their mobile devices - unless there is some miracle from Nomad (not holding my breath). I really like what Nomad is offering and the ability to suspend service when we are not on the road but the company has a long way to go for quality (after reading some of these comments) and maturity to support their product.

I've been dealing with them for over 2 months. I paid $299.00 for the Nomad Air after a month they finally sent me a cube they said it included 2 months travel plan for free of course it didn't work so they sent me a replacement they guaranteed would work well 3 weeks later I get it and if course it doesn't work. I called they told me the SIM card and the modem wasn't even in my name said my account wasn't even active. They said I needed someone from sales tech to call me back in within 12 hours. You guessed it no one called me back. So I call again and they tell me the same thing so I decided to call the billing department and they tell me they have no control over it. I had to wait for my call back. I'm so frustrated I just want my money back I honestly think they're too screw us over.
