GEM SLEEPReviews of mygemsleep.com

Sleep study was covered by insurance. The first "didn't work" so they had to send a 2nd device. I fell within the margin of error and after 6 weeks of back and forth they agreed to give me a prescription for cpap. Now during this 6 weeks of back and forth, they went from me owing them money to no you're insurance paid it to literally the SAME customer rep saying yeah you do owe money, since they gave me a 2nd test (remember THEY messed up the 1st one) The customer service is awful, and pitiful. There are maybe 2 representatives to work for this entire company. They've got all the domain space and you wonder why there's only one other review than mine. They are crooks, cheaters, liars, and have caused me to LOSE sleep over this stupid test. Save yourself time and money and go somewhere else. This company is a total scam, borderline fraudulent Original review wrote in August 2024. As over November 2024 they still call weekly. There are only 4 people that work at this company. SCAM

Honestly this company feels like a scam. I'm experiencing many symptoms of sleep apnea and shelled out nearly 200$ right before the holidays for their at home sleep study because places in my state are booking months in advance and my doctor and I are concerned by my symptoms: falling asleep while driving, impaired cognition, heavy snoring, high HR while sleeping, low spo2 while sleeping, severe daytime drowsiness, and family history of apnea. It took 3 weeks for my test to reach me, on Thursday December 28th into Friday the 29th I completed my sleep study. The testing equipment was simply a watch with a finger monitor attached to it. Slept as was instructed, and that day when the test uploaded I received an email saying it would be 7-10 business days before my results arrived. Today, the next day, Saturday afternoon I received my results back. Saying that there's no apnea at all, and I'm totally fine, except that my sleeping heart rate is very high (which is one of the symptoms my doctor specified was directly related to my body trying to compensate for the lack of oxygen). And when reading through my tests, found terrible inapplicable advice like "patient should work on their diet, exercise, and lose weight" even tho my reported BMI was 25 and I am extremely healthy and active, and to reduce alcohol consumption, I literally do not drink at all. The only way to talk to someone in the company about your results is to pay 85$. So honestly this whole company feels like a scam. When I get my apnea results back from my REAL sleep study in February I will be submitting to GEM and expecting a full explanation for their crap test. And a damn refund. DO NOT use this company unless you are basically passing away in your sleep because that is the only way they will recognize your apnea as legitimate.
