Easy to use once I identified my key type and the manufacturer. I was able to read that information using an unafiliated android app on my cellphone. After receiving my order from Mr. Key Fob, I did need to install a driver on my computer for the reader/writer. The driver is in the same general area on the web where the software is found but I had to look for it a little. If I had one criticism, it would be there were no instructions about that on the Mr. Key Fob website.
