Response from Mann Lake Bee & Ag Supply· May 9, 2025

We’re truly sorry to hear that your experience with Mann Lake fell short of your expectations, and we appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback. We understand how upsetting it must have been to receive a package of bees where one colony did not thrive. It’s never our intention to leave a customer feeling unheard or dismissed, and we sincerely apologize if any part of your interaction with our team made you feel that way. That is absolutely not how we aim to treat our customers, and we’re happy to address that internally. Regarding your concern, our policy does state that Mann Lake guarantees, through shipping insurance, that package bees will arrive alive with no more than 1½ inches of dead bees (when spread evenly across the bottom of the package), and that each package includes a fertile queen. However, we do not guarantee the long-term establishment or productivity of the hive once the bees are in the customer's possession, as many environmental and management factors are beyond our control. That said, we are always open to discussing any concerns further and welcome the opportunity to make things right when possible. If you would be willing to speak with us again, we kindly ask that you call and request to speak with Stephanie H. directly. We would truly value the chance to better understand your experience and work toward a more positive resolution. Thank you again for your feedback. We are continuously striving to improve and are sorry that we did not meet your expectations this time.

Hi Erin. We do appreciate you bringing this to our attention and understand how upset and frustrated you are. However, you called to let us know what happened on March 6th and you were refunded in full on March 14th. Our policy is that refunds are processed within 7-10 business days (business days do not count Saturday and Sunday), and yours was handled within that timeframe. In addition, we did ask that you call us, over a week ago, on the other reviews that you have left regarding this issue, but we haven't heard back from you as of now. If you would like to discuss this further, please reach out to us at 1(800) 720-1134, Monday through Friday from 9am-5pm EST, and we would be more than happy to do so.

We apologize for the frustration you've experienced with our queen bees. Ensuring the health and success of our queens is a top priority for Mann Lake, and we guarantee the fertility of the queens we offer. We are committed to replacing nonlaying queens at no cost to you as part of our guarantee. However, we understand that the success of queen introduction can be influenced by various factors, including hive conditions and handling during installation, which are crucial to the acceptance of the queen by the colony. Unfortunately, situations where queens abscond or fly away due to factors beyond our control, such as improper installation, are not covered under our replacement policy. For more details, please see our live bee policy. We value your feedback and are continuously working to improve our products and services. Please reach out to me directly at [email protected] with your order number, so we can further discuss your specific situation and explore possible solutions. Your satisfaction is important to us, and we appreciate the opportunity to address your concerns. Thank you, Stacy Hill Customer Experience Specialist
