I ordered one emerald crab and 5 hermit crabs on July 26, 2026 with an estimated ship date of 30 July. Nothing shipped on that date or the next day. I sent multiple emails with delivery receipt and read receipt and got nothing back. So I assume its a false or incorrect email address. You cannot talk to a live person and they do not return calls. It is now August 8th and still no product and a pending charge on PayPal that I cannot get released. Absolutely terrible customer service and it appears that this is their model to get money committed and not ship product. Look for saltwater fish elsewhere.

First of the customer service via email is non existent, live chat only gives you the suggestion to call. Calling some times connections you with a person, leaving a voicemail goes straight to the deleted folder don't expect a call back. When you do reach a person they promise your order will go out "today". I was told they should be getting stock in and they would get my order out. Sounds like they don't do any quarantine procedures. I put in an order and waited 3 weeks before finally being able cancel via phone. Highly recommend not using live aquaria

7/18/2026 I’ve been ordering from Live Aquaria since the Old Foster & Smith days. In the last year they have gone from 5 stars down to 1. Delays in shipping, poor specimens and poor customer service. Yesterday I received an order that was short 6 fish. Phone customer service told me to send a report by email. NO RESPONSE AT ALL. I’m done.

If there were negative stars that is what i would give this horrible company. Placed an order, everything arrived dead. They only gave me partial store credit. I placed another order with the store credit and everything arrived dead. Not wanting to do business with them again, i asked them to credit my credit card. They refused. DO NOT do business with them.

I ordered a yellow eye kole tang about a week after it was supposed to be delivered i sent a voicemai asking about it since I had not been contacted about a delay then a customer service representatives called me back a few days later and said that if I switched my order to a similar fish a squaretail bristletooth tang that they would ship my order with 30 mins I agreed but they didn't ship my order called the next day they assured me it would be shipped that day then for the next couple weeks I was told every few days it would be shipped that day until I finally made them cancel my order only reason I ga e them two stars is bc they did email and call me back

I have had the pleasure of working with Carlos to fix my order so that I receive a Male Square Back Anthias & the Dispar Anthias is going to be Female along with the Carberry Anthias is going to be Female so they get along with my Male Square Back Anthias. He helped me to get that switch made & to see to it I get the largest Healthiest Best Looking largest Male Pink Square Anthias between 2 to 3 inches which is above & beyond in my book. So Helpful, they have me as a customer for life. I am so Excited to be getting my fish this Friday & took off work to make sure I get them in the best way I can & to monitor them. He helped even though I'm a pro to give me a few pointers I didn't know. I'm so impressed< I'm doing this review before I even get my order. This shop is the Best if all their Employees are as caring, kind, helpful & customer service oriented as Carlos. So far I give them & him 10 stars, not just 5. David McCurdy St. Petersburg Florida

One shipment arrived a day late (ups screwed up) with dead specimens. Their guarantee claim process is weird. I sent in required photos, they emailed back to ask for clearer photos 3 days after the fact... smells fishy. My second order has been in the cloud for a week - no action on their part. This is pretty unacceptable when dealing with live specimens. Finally, their packaging is very bad. The box insulation is almost non existent. It's a thin foam box. They wrap the bags with newspapers and include only one ice pack for 85 degree ambient temps at delivery destination. The amount of water inside the bags was MINIMAL. It's scary how little they care for the animals' welfare. I will not order from them ever again, and you shouldn't either.

I ordered 200 dollars worth of stuff from them before the went dark, bankrupt, whatever happened. I was never credited or refunded when they came back online and they have refused to even acknowledge ripping me off. Screw these people and their business. There are plenty of reputable places to get marine life and supplies online.
