Danielle is the Showhome Manager who helped us in the store and at our home. We found her super knowledgeable and helpful. Looking forward for my mother's use of the Bruno Chairlift.

The concern for my needs at the first phone call. The quick response to fix my chair so my wife could return home. The good attitude of the tech, Jose M, and getting the chair back in order and touching up the rail

The equipment served a very important purpose and was reliable installation. Technician was also awesome. The removal technician Louis was courteous and very quick. It was a pleasure doing business with LifeWay.

Terrible experience. Give your business to someone else. Paid almost $17k for a Harmar inside stair lift that stopped working within hours of installation. Installation was on a Wednesday. The person who needed it was coming home from the rehab center on Saturday. Within 4 hours of the tech leaving, stairlift stopped working with error code 235. Stairlift was only tested twice after installation tech left without anyone in it prior to the error. Sent message to installation tech as soon as it happened. No response. Called and left message with the office on Thursday. No response. Called the office and spoke with someone on Friday. Earliest appointment available was Tuesday at 3:00. Meanwhile the person who needs it can’t use it. Tuesday at 11:00am the tech calls and says that they cannot come out due to personal reasons and nobody else is available. Tech reschedules for Wednesday at 9:00am. Received text at 9:04am on Wednesday saying they will be here in 20 minutes. I tell them that I need to leave by 10:00 for work and really needed them here. Tech finally shows up at almost 9:30. (This is now 1 week since installation and 18.5 hours past original appointment time and 30 minutes past updated appointment time.) Tech sees the error code and had no idea what it means. Tech has to call manufacturer just to find out what the error code means. Tech has no service or troubleshooting guides. 10:00 comes and goes. Now I am late for work. Now this $17k piece of junk is costing me even MORE money. 10:20 tech tells me it’s fixed. Apparently it was a “programming error”. I ask if the remotes work. Tech tells me yes. I go to test it and it STILL doesn’t work. Tech goes back to work. Tech figures out that the original installer did not properly route wires and they were coming loose once the covers were installed. Apparently they first only tested it with it disassembled and didn’t bother to test it with it put back together. Now wires are routed properly and it is tested with everything reassembled. I verify proper operation. Tech then explains how to “fix it” myself if it happens again. I don’t have much confidence in a tech who thinks their repair won’t last. It is now 11:00 and I am an hour late for work. Only time will tell if the chair will continue to work. Hiring this company feels like the worst decision we made. I hope I NEVER need to deal with them again. I should have gone with Acorn Stairlifts instead as the price was comparable.

Response from Lifeway Mobility· Sep 24, 2026
We appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback. Our local team is very sorry for the less-than-ideal experience you've had with your stair lift thus far, and for the inconveniences and frustration. It falls below the 5-star experience we strive to provide to every customer that we serve. We recognize there's an opportunity for improvement in our service department right now; the scheduling gaps, last minute cancellations, and lack of follow-through you described shouldn't have happened, and we're actively working to resolve that as a priority. As you know, the local manager has been in direct contact with you directly regarding the issues with the unit and has provided his direct phone number for quick response in the meantime. Regarding the wiring issue: we've since worked directly with the manufacturer and our install team to reinforce proper wire routing and full post-assembly testing before a technician ever leaves a job. This isn't something we see often, and it was an isolated incident rather than typical of how our installations go but that's little comfort given what you and your family experienced, and we are genuinely sorry about that. Please know we remain committed to addressing the issues with the unit so your mother-in-law can safely use it, while also preventing any further problems. Our technician is scheduled to be out at your home tomorrow, and they will be working closely with the manufacturer's technical support team. In the meantime, please feel free to contact us directly with any additional questions or concerns. We're here to help and make things right.
