I have purchased 2 lens replacements from the Lensfactory. The service was good and fast, but unfortunately the first lenses lasted only 6-7 months before the scratches started to make them less useful. I always cleaned them with warm water and microfiber nonscratch cloth as advised, but that did not help. The LensFactory recommended "better" polycarbonate and anti-scratch protection coating that raised the price $100 and they lasted for 14 months. I read in Consumer Reports to expect lens to last 2-3 years. That was not my experience.

Hello, Our lenses are the same types of lenses you would find in a local optical shop. We use all the main brands. There are different quality levels of lenses (Plastic, Polycarbonate and Glass) each coming with their own pros and cons. Depending on your lifestyle, lenses may last longer or shorter (i.e. a pair that you read with and stays on your bedside table will last much longer than your every day pair.) We're sorry we were not able to meet your expectations with regard to the wear of your glasses.

First time I’ve used glass lenses.Very clear vision.I took around four weeks for them to be fitted but I’m very pleased with the results.

Thanks for the review! I know it can take a while to get glass lenses, but we try to communicate that up front. Glass lenses are becoming harder to get across the board, and we're one of a few online companies that actually are able to offer it! We're so glad that the ends justified the means, and hope you will tell your friends and come back when you need another pair!
