Easy process to get the loan. Happy with loan term and rate. Technology is lacking. No mobile app. Recently updated their authentication flow and constantly loops you between old and new login pages. Super confusing and inefficient. Also, their refreshed interface still lacks basic features like principal only payments.

pleasent working with lend key however i wish that the loan would be seen on my veridian account so i can see when its due from my phone app instead of trying to figure out a time to get on the computer and look at it

I came to LendKey immediately after going most of the way through the ReFi process with another widely-known student loan ReFi company - stopping short of signing on the X. The process at the other company was incredibly easy - just minutes and a few little inputs and it was time to sign. But I worried that it was too easy - it made me double back and make sure there wasn't somewhere I could get a better rate. I'm glad I took a second look. LendKey got me over 1% improvement in rate, saving thousands. The "problems," I had were likely less related to LendKey and more to do with the Credit Union that it linked me with for the actual loan. They were surprisingly slow - so slow that it made me a little anxious about the process. My wife worked for a CU before though so I knew this was kinda normal. The submission process here was very manual and gave me opportunities to make mistakes, totally unlike the competitor. Finally, the rate I ultimately got was 0.25% higher than expected. The initial quote was 2.95%, with additional 0.25% discount for auto-pay. In the end, my rate with auto-pay was 2.95%. Oh well, still much better than the original rate I was so close to signing up for.

Recent Drastic Decline. Until recently, I would have given Lendkey a 5star rating, for me the application process was great, payments were reasonable and principal pay down was great benefit of a lower interest rate. However, as of December there appears to be a 2 weeks delay in processing of checks. During which time they mark the account as past due and send emails just in time to say never mind as the check is finally processed. I contacted customer service and basically they said that unless the check is cashed its presumed not received. So I send a check on time, but because they haven't cashed it, its my fault? Unbelievable. I now will be switching services as I no longer trust this company.

Slow in the review of the application and as well as the funding, compared with what's stated as a standard turn-around time, as well as with other lenders.

The application process was generally fine. It was hard to tell what documents were needed and if they were accepted or if there were any more that needed to be uploaded.

Their interest rates are rather high which is the only negative. Their customer service is fast and the process is straight forward and user friendly.
