Lendkey is a horrible customer service organization. They provide zero understand for active duty military who want to make regular payments to their student loan accounts. Please select another vendor when considering your student loan provider

Password requirements are WAY TOO DIFFICULT. I can never log in to my account because I have to change my password to some weird thing that I never remember. Please change that!!!

I qualified for and was assured I would receive a $750 bonus. They are now refusing to give it to me.

I signed in online to get a payoff amount on my student loan and then made that stated payment immediately. Congrats, right? I paid off my loan? Time for a celebration? NO! Time for a call from a debt collector on behalf of LendKey! It turns out the payment took 5 days to process on their system. So now the payoff was incorrect in the amount of two dollars by the time it posted. What a joke right? It gets.... BETTER! Then that threw another interest period on there for like $55. This company can blow me. I can't believe you fools had someone call me over $2 after I made the 11k payoff payment quoted on YOUR obviously broken website.

Tried to refinance my wife's student loans as I was an existing customer but was denied and given no options going forward. Lendkey apparently has limited loan options (rates and banks to work with). If I had a choice now I would not have refinanced my first loan with them.

Was requested to submit over 20 pieces of documentation over 3 weeks. Made over a dozen phone calls. Ultimately had my loan rejected after wasting hours of my time. Have dealt with Sofi in the past with a much better experience. Would recommend avoiding lendkey.

I'm an American citizen with US student loans. I have a credit score of 830+, have paid every bill on time, and have paid $250 more than the minimum payment on my student loans for years. I'm employed abroad, and I emailed and called Lend Key before applying to ensure that they would consider my application despite being employed outside the US. They agreed so I continued with my application. It was declined. When I asked if they could connect me with another credit union, they said no. They suggested I re-apply again with a co-signer. I come from a single-parent household, and my mother is on disability so would not be a good candidate for a co-signer. With my great credit history I'm a good candidate for loan refinancing, and am trying desperately to refinance my loans at a lower interest rate. It's unbelievable they don't want my money.

My son is military and due to monthly expenses, his nearly $600 monthly Lendkey payment is putting him negative every month. I requested a forbearance and it was denied due to him previously being on a forbearance and not making 6 monthly payments before requesting a new forbearance. He is still training and his income is not enough to pay his monthly bills.
