I signed up with Just Energy over ten years ago when the company was fairly new. It was touted as one of the best new companies in my state and green energy. It was good at first but then I got tricked into a 5 year contract and I know I did not agree to it. They use deceptive tactics to get you to do this, then charge $75 to get out of it. There are also usually at least $20 of strange fees on my bill, so I'm not actually getting the rate it says I'm getting. I am now 3 months away from the end of my 5 year contract and sure enough someone just called me trying get me to stay with them. I could barely even understand him bc the customer service is outsourced to another country now, so I don't trust any company that does that. I can barely understand their broken English. STAY AWAY from this company! They are not one bit reputable and I can't believe they ever were! I can't wait to be done with them. I'm sick of these kinds of companies getting away with this type of thing.

Bill is high for every month. They tell you that you are locked in for a low rate like 10 cent no matter how much you use. But then you get an extra "delivery charge" which makes your charges 16 cents or more. You don't actually get the low rate. They raise it if you go over a certain amount of usage. Bill is always 300-400 no matter the season. Then the contract has this chart as well. That even though you are promised the low rate of you use more you get charged more and that "delivery fee" is how they sneak it in. The bill will also tell you some where at the bottom that your average price is more depending on have when that isn't what you sign up for.

They are untrustworthy. They committed me to a three year contract. The only time I spoke with them is on set up at over 19 cents per KWH. No way I committed They even asked for a deposit. No way I made a three year contract.

Star I had a very frustrating experience with Just Energy customer service. I spent nearly 34 minutes on the phone and was transferred to three different representatives and then a manager. Each person asked me to repeat the same information and verification questions over and over again. Despite all the transfers, my issue was not resolved, and I felt like no one was taking ownership of the situation. After repeating myself multiple times and getting nowhere, I eventually hung up. Customer service should be better organized and more respectful of customers’ time.

Omg do not I repeat do not sign up with this company smh they stole me from my last company without my knowledge of consent, then I get my first bill its doubled up wayyy more then what I've ever paid for electricity smh I am so hurt and torn, I can't believe this company has done this to me, promising discounts and lower plans after I had to speak with somebody about what happened in the first place this company is a scam...

I absolutely would not do business with this company. They have predatory pricing. Here in Michigan, I signed up with them and on my bill for February 2026, the charged me $10.44 per MCF and Consumers Energy charge for the same period was $2.98, and for March, Just Energy is at $10.44, while Consumers Energy is at $3.63. On what planet does Just Energy think this is fair pricing. They sell you on this hook that they lock you in at a lower price. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE PEOPLE> BUNCH OF CROOKS!!!!!!

ABSOLUTE BUYER BEWARE! I got suckered in to signing up at Sam's Club. They looked at my usage and told me "oh your bill is going to be sooooo much lower" so I signed up like an idiot. My first bill was DOUBLE. I called the supposed VIP Sams club line and got an overseas person who knew nothing about all the promises they made. I tried getting support from everywhere. The website does not work, even their help articles require a Salesforce login you don't have. Then you try to chat and it says it is connecting you and nothing. I am a property manager and I have a relationship with a large electricity provider here. I sent him my bill and he said I am being charged higher than their highest commercial short term rate!

So friendly with great professional service that made me feel relaxed and helped me with my questions. Great company.
