We want to give a big shout-out to Crystal Wang, the DMV Office Director, and Ivy Yin, the Family Support Manager, for all their support throughout our journey! Crystal has been incredibly helpful from the beginning. She helped us find a strong counseling team for our son, and he has had a very good experience working with the team on his college application. What we really appreciate is that Crystal didn’t just introduce the program and team to us and then step away. Since we joined, she has continued to stay involved, help us find useful resources, answer our questions in a timely manner, and provide extra support whenever we need it. Ivy has also been wonderful in keeping us updated on our son’s progress and ensuring we, as parents stay informed. She is always responsive and supportive, which has made the whole process much easier for us. My experience with InGenius has been deeply disappointing, particularly in the way the InGenius Prep management team handled a dispute after concerns were raised. Several important questions remained unanswered, including why a coach declined to revise application essays despite our requests and why the coach became unavailable during a critical period immediately before application deadlines. Delays, inconsistent communication, and a lack of meaningful follow-through added unnecessary stress to an already difficult situation for my family. If your family has had a similar experience with InGenius, I would welcome hearing your story. I am interested in connecting with other families who may have encountered similar issues. By sharing information and experiences, we may be able to identify common patterns, better understand available remedies, and help future families make more informed decisions. My case has been documented through the Better Business Bureau and the Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection, where interested readers may review the available records for additional context. At the start of high school, college admissions seemed to me a rather terrifying mystery. Working with experienced Ingenius coaches who have spent years behind the desk has not only demystified but showed me the ropes of applying for college. Particularly, it’s taught me that my differences are to be celebrated and honored. Where my community sometime devalues the arts as a viable path, I am currently working on an interdisciplinary profile that blends visual arts and STEM. A special thank you to Graduate Coach Justin and Former Admissions Officer Crissy, who inspire me to push the boundaries of my work, always cheering me on. Working with my personal graduate team, as well as the broader Ingenius family, has helped me expand my horizons beyond what I thought possible. The skills I’ve built and people I’ve met in my time with Ingenius will serve me through through high school, beyond college, for a lifetime.

I had an amazing experience with Ingenious prep, with my counselor Ms. Targett being an extremely helpful guide for me through the extremely arduous and stressful college application process. Through her help I was able to get into my desired schools, as well as many more. The process was made extremely simple and easy through her help, and I was able to complete all applications in a comfortable time window, along with getting valuable advice and guidance.

I like a lot of things overall about IGP. but the main thing is that I really was able to get some idea of what I'm going to do in high school. I can't really say anything else specific since I'm pretty new to this, but I do look forward to the future with IGP.

It was an overall great experience working with IGP. My counsellor, Justin Obcena was very responsible and is an absolute expert at college prepping. He has extensive experience applying to colleges, and the advice that he gave me is absolutely mind- and game-changing for me. I would highly recommend IGP to people if they are looking for something worth the value – especially when a lot of college prep platforms are raising their prices nowadays, very worthwhile experience!
