They canceled my visa application without my consent
I bought Imigrata’s “Full Support” (two payments). I ended up doing almost everything myself; from them I got just a couple of documents and the visa appointment. The contract says the second payment is due before starting Stage 2. Yet the day before my visa submission — when everything was already prepared — they invoiced Stage 2 and claimed it had already started because of a short prep call, while Stage 1 wasn’t even finished (NIF still pending). Given my uncertain case (my residence permit was close to expiring), I wasn’t ready to prepay for Stage 2 that I might not even need if the visa were refused. When I declined, they began demanding payment, threatened me with “Portuguese lawyers” (despite the contract’s Georgia, USA jurisdiction), and later sent a unilateral termination — without completing Stage 1. I submitted my visa application on Sep 19, had my consular interview on Oct 1, and was waiting for the decision. Later I called the consulate to check status and was shocked to learn my application had been canceled back on Sep 26 from the e-Visa account email they controlled. The embassy shared the message they received — written as if by me and even starting with “Hello! My name is Maksim Alekseenko…”. I never wrote or authorized this; they impersonated me to cancel my case. This wrecked my plans for the next year: I now have to renew my current residence permit first and only then reapply. That’s why this felt especially harmful and, in my view, vindictive. They present themselves as helping people relocate; in my case they did the opposite. I paid, received minimal value, and ended up with a canceled application I never asked to cancel. Strongly recommend avoiding this company. ------ Update after the company’s reply: 1. "We contacted the consulate for him." – Not true. I contacted the consulate myself (multiple times). 2. "Urgent work in 10 days." – They began their part only after I had prepared and sent all my documents. Most of the rush was on me. They told me to get a criminal record with an apostille; I would not have had time to obtain it, and they didn’t seem concerned. I checked with the consulate and learned the apostille wasn’t required. 3. "Free consultations." – I paid €49 for the first consultation. Later they offered to refund that fee in exchange for posting a review, which is generally against review-platform rules — this is why so many of their reviews are about the first consultation. 4. "He ignored us / breached the contract." – I replied promptly. The contract puts payment 2 before starting Stage 2; Stage 1 wasn’t complete (NIF), and I was never warned in advance that Stage 2 had "started". After several days of messages disputing this, they sent a unilateral termination presented as retroactive. 5. "We discontinued services, including cancellation." – The consular appointment belonged to Stage 1, which was paid. They canceled an already paid action and impersonated me to do it — in my view, that’s unlawful. 6. "Jurisdiction / accountability." – They operate via a U.S. entity while selling EU relocation. In my view, this setup appears designed to avoid potential EU court actions and accountability.

Response from IMIGRATA· Oct 24, 2025
IMIGRATA has assisted over 2,000 families in relocating and beginning new lives in better places. We understand how important it is to start a new chapter abroad with honesty and transparency. Unfortunately, Mr. Alexeenko chose to begin his process through deceitful and dishonest behavior. We initially reviewed his case and provided consultations free of charge, even contacting the consulate on his behalf to confirm that his application could be accepted and processed quickly. At that stage, Mr. Alexeenko had less than two weeks before his visa submission deadline — a situation in which most companies would refuse to assist. After receiving detailed guidance and recommendations from our team, he signed a binding agreement with IMIGRATA outlining the services to be provided and the payment schedule. Our payment structure is always flexible and transparent, with the first installment due at the start of the work and the second before document submission to the consulate. IMIGRATA promptly prepared and finalized all of the client’s documents and booked a consular appointment. This urgent work was completed in just over ten days, including weekends. However, when asked to make the second scheduled payment before submission, Mr. Alexeenko stopped responding. He proceeded to submit his documents independently and ignored all further communication until we formally notified him of a breach of the agreement and informed him that our legal team was reviewing the matter. Mr. Alexeenko later stated that he would pay “on his own terms,” after receiving his visa — a direct and material breach of contract. Despite our repeated attempts to resolve the issue amicably, he refused to comply. As a result, IMIGRATA issued a unilateral termination of the agreement due to non-payment and, in line with the contract terms, discontinued all services, including cancellation of the consulate submission. P.S. Since the original complaint was updated by client with comments, we can attest that we have all the conversations saved in our CRM. The client is fudging the facts, he apparently never intended to pay us after the first stage. We kept writing for 3 days with no replies until we threatened with legal action. Imigrata did all the work included in stage 1, all the work was done within 10 days, which is not even possible under normal circumstances, his manager had to pause the work done for all other clients just to get this client his documents ready for submission. This is typical scam by client who tried to get through the system as fast as possible and not pay for full services he was provided.
