I used Hunter.io to verify email addresses. Once Hunter verified a list of 70 odd email ids I sent cold emails on the verified ones. However, many emails still bounced. Therefore, I can assume that the algorithm used isn't exactly fool-proof.

Hi Pawan, Thanks for sharing your experience! Looking at your bulk verifier results, more than half of the email addresses came back as "accept-all." Accept-all domains are configured to accept every incoming message at the server level, which means we cannot individually verify whether a specific address is valid or not. We always share this status transparently so you can decide whether to include those contacts based on your own sending reputation and risk tolerance. The tools that hunter.io provides are fantastic, but I think they truly shine in their hands-on support, making sure that every customer is looked after and is managing to do what they want to do. I have nothing but positive things to say about them.

Such a cool, easy-to-use program that keeps my domain reputation clean and intact. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a great product and flawless design, i plan on keeping them in my tech stack. I am sure I am only scratching the surface of what it can do.

Hunter is perhaps the best marketing tool out there for early startups. It is well designed, self-intuitive and easy to use; I didn't even have to look at the tutorials. They offer these services at a fraction of what industry leaders charge, so there's that additional value benefit. They also provide a healthy startup discount to eligible startups, which makes it a natural choice for folks starting out in the industry.
