Hi Sandra, thanks for the kind review. Our prices online reflect the cost of relatively high cost of 1-day shipping and additional packaging needed to ship. The most cost effective way to purchase our product is through a local retailer near you. The link to our store finder is: https://honeysmokedfish.com/pages/find-a-store

Hello, thanks for taking the time to leave a review. We apologize your experience with Honey Smoked Salmon was not up to par, and we're happy to make things right if you contact [email protected]. We unfortunately cannot control the prices our retailers set on the shelves and recommended using our online Store Finder to find additional retailers near you that might carry Honey Smoked Salmon at a lower price. Our Honey Smoked Salmon is 4-BAP or ASC certified ocean farmed, and is shipped fresh, never frozen, to our facility in Denver to smoke. The white material you noticed on your fillet is likely Albumin, which is an intramuscular protein no different than what you would find in marbled cuts of beef.
