I’m extremely disappointed with the "Gourmet Gift Barrel" purchase and would strongly caution others before ordering anything from this company. The product was advertised as a “luxury” assortment with premium snacks and a wooden barrel presentation. What was received was the complete opposite. The items inside were low-quality, comparable to what you’d find at a gas station—definitely not what anyone would consider upscale or gift-worthy. On top of that, the basket itself wasn’t a wooden barrel as shown on the website; it arrived in a plain cardboard box, which made the whole thing feel cheap and misleading. What made this experience worse was the customer service. I reached out politely to explain the situation and asked for at least a partial refund. Instead of trying to resolve the issue, I was told I must be lying and that they reserve the right to substitute items regardless of what’s advertised. That response felt dismissive and unprofessional. Between the misleading product description, poor quality items, and unhelpful customer support, this was a frustrating experience from start to finish. I would not recommend this company if you’re looking for a genuine, high-quality gift.

While we do have a substitution policy that allows for components of equal or greater value to be used to ensure timely delivery, we regret that the final presentation and selection of snacks did not meet the upscale standard you expected. I am regretting purchasing from Hazelton's. Don't buy from Hazelton's as they do not deliver on time. I wish I had read the reviews prior to ordering! They falsley lead you to believe deliveries in 1 day but deliver well past that. Do yourself a favour and order from someone else.

An absolute joke. I cannot believe a company would think it was acceptable to deliver what was delivered. I ordered Veuve Rose, crystal stemware, white roses and lilies, gourmet white cholate popcorn and gummy bears, and pink velvet cookies totaling over $200 dollars. What was delivered was a 8 dollar bottle of brut garbage, champagne glasses that were CLEARLY purchased at a dollar store, CRUNCH MUNCH popcorn, and sugar free cookies made for people with diabetes, and NO Flowers. I was MORTIFIED when I found out this is what was delivered to my best friend for her 40th birthday. MORTIFIED. I cannot believe a company thinks this is acceptable.

We would also like to clarify that our pricing reflects more than the individual retail cost of items alone. It includes product sourcing, professional assembly, gift presentation, packaging materials, handling, customization options, and delivery logistics. Because of this, direct comparisons to standalone retail shelf prices may not accurately reflect the full value of a completed gift service. That said, we understand that the overall experience did not meet your expectations, and we sincerely regret your disappointment. If I can leave a zero, I would. I ordered a basket that was not cheap. What was delivered was completely different from what I ordered. I realize they make substitutions, but the entire basket was substituted or missing items. I reached out to the company to let them know I was dissatisfied. The basket was supposed to be in a champagne bucket instead they put in a cheeseboard. I ordered strawberries they gave us apples. There was supposed to be olive oil and balsamic vinegar in there that was missing. I paid extra for champagne glasses, one was broken. to say that I’m disappointing is an understatement. I corresponded with a representative from their company to no avail. They asked me numerous questions that I answered. The end result was an email telling me that they make substitutions. They made no offer to rectify my order. I would never recommend. this company. I believe it’s a fraudulent company. I am very disappointed that I spent almost $200 on a basket that I didn’t order..

Not satisfied by the company! They did ship the gift in one day (so I would have given them 5 starts ) but nothing that I ordered arrived at destination. The basket was completely different and here was their response : as outlined in our substitution and refund policies on our website, unavailable items may be replaced with similar products of equal or greater value, and substitutions are not eligible for refunds or compensation.
