The Originator of the Seersucker Suit. Founded in New Orleans in 1909, Haspel is the originator of the seersucker suit and now offers a vibrant collection of men's shirts, pants, and fashion accessories. Known for innovative lightweight fabrics, Haspel is the preferred men's clothing brand to keep you looking and feeling cool. Damn right! ABOUT US Joseph Haspel, Sr. originated the use of a lightweight cotton fabric known as seersucker in the manufacturing of men's suits in the early 1900's. His suit solution for Louisiana's blazing summer heat became the brand's signature item, propelling Haspel's popularity beyond its southern roots, while making an indelible mark on American menswear. In the following decades, Haspel continued to expand its offerings, attracting new enthusiasts with its bold colors and classic sensibilities. It also pushed the envelope of innovation, introducing stretch fabrics and working with fabric companies to create the "miracle fiber" used in wash-and-wear suits. Owned by the Haspel family, the brand today has built on it's iconic tradition in Summer Suits and expanded it's roots in menswear to accessories and new products. Worked with Will Swillie to special order a suit and have it shipped to my house. Suit is perfect! Arrived on time. Will definitely went the extra mile to make this all work. Headed to the Kentucky Derby on Saturday.

So great to hear Thomas, and enjoy the Derby!
Great product. Limited inventory and service is lacking. I ordered a great suit. Jacket fit great and pants did not. Sent pants back to get larger size. Larger size not available. Pants credited. Jacket for suit useless without pants. Not possible to talk to a person when calling their number. No response to e-mails requesting info when larger pants will be available. Sent jacket back too. May reorder when sizes are available. Thanks.

Quick delivery of items ordered. Too bad the Seersucker Suits were not available in my size. Picked up from Muse at Jackson Square instead.

Ordered two pair of seersucker shorts online—and received them the very next day. Both fit perfectly and look great!

Great pick Scott, they'll be your go-to this summer! Thank you!
I first purchased a Midnight seersucker suit in 2019 and had sent to Tokyo, Japan. (We need to set up international online sales) and I received many compliments and inquiries from younger Japanese businessmen who haven't seen seersucker material or jackets/suits before. Ben Silver's did an open trunk show in Tokyo at Mitsukoshi or Takashimaya in 1997 or so and introduced seersucker to an older crowd back then. I recently purchased for both my son and I Navy and Navy/Black suits which have now arrived in Tokyo. These are beautiful, high quality, long wearing suits and are perfect for the brutal Summers here in Japan which are like Houston, New Orleans/Gulf Coast (Pass Christian, MS.). Haspel is a historic, iconic, and legendary company and I am glad they are still around and making product proudly in the USA.
