The Originator of the Seersucker Suit. Founded in New Orleans in 1909, Haspel is the originator of the seersucker suit and now offers a vibrant collection of men's shirts, pants, and fashion accessories. Known for innovative lightweight fabrics, Haspel is the preferred men's clothing brand to keep you looking and feeling cool. Damn right! ABOUT US Joseph Haspel, Sr. originated the use of a lightweight cotton fabric known as seersucker in the manufacturing of men's suits in the early 1900's. His suit solution for Louisiana's blazing summer heat became the brand's signature item, propelling Haspel's popularity beyond its southern roots, while making an indelible mark on American menswear. In the following decades, Haspel continued to expand its offerings, attracting new enthusiasts with its bold colors and classic sensibilities. It also pushed the envelope of innovation, introducing stretch fabrics and working with fabric companies to create the "miracle fiber" used in wash-and-wear suits. Owned by the Haspel family, the brand today has built on it's iconic tradition in Summer Suits and expanded it's roots in menswear to accessories and new products. I left a message, requesting a special larger size jacket. A very pleasant manager called back within a few days and I placed my order. The jacket is beautiful. Unfortunately, my size matching pants aren't available until a later date. I can wait.

The people at Haspel were very helpful and made it easy to purchase my suit. They also made it easy to return the first jacket which I bought a bit too small and to get the right sized coat. The suit is great looking and of very high quality. I am very pleased with my new suit

Thank you for your review!
I bought a jacket with $25 off as a promotion. Turns out I needed a size up. Rather than chance missing out on the next size up as part of the return/exchange process, I just bought it. And then sent the smaller size back for a refund. Four issues. 1) I lost the $25 off in the process 2) the jacket had tailor’s chalk near the buttonholes 3) I had to pay for returning it 4) the larger size jacket did not include a storage bag. It is a high quality jacket, but the experience was mundane.

I'm sorry to hear that your experience was mundane. That is definitely not typical. The $25 off is for your first order only. I'm emailing you a new code for you to use on your next order. Please check your email. Thank you for your order and for the review.
