I have been drinking hot cinnamon sunset for over 20 years every morning ,with a lot of flavor and the last tins I’ve bought at 3 different places have absolutely no flavor at all very disappointing .I would like to know if other have had this experience

We just purchased a bag of wake and bake tea sachets and found only crumpled up paper inside. We were so disappointed. Getting a refund I hope but how do we trust them in the future.

Hi Kj, We’re so sorry about this, and we completely understand your disappointment. Opening a bag and finding paper instead of tea is not the experience we want anyone to have. We believe what happened is that the dispensary accidentally handed you one of our display packages. These are empty bags filled with paper so they can be shown on shelves, and they’re never meant to be sold. It was an honest mix-up at the point of sale, but that doesn’t make it any less frustrating for you. We’d like to make this right. I was looking for a new tea supplier. I made the mistake of choosing Harney & Sons. I can't really reply to the quality of their tea because I placed the order 3 weeks ago and have not yet recived it. When I called customer service the best that they could do was offer a tracking number. Pretty disappointed and do not think that I should be doing their job for them. Will look for other options in the future. Update - My shipment arrived today. I also received a refund (I believe for shipping costs) within a couple of days of posting the review. This was not expected, but appreciated. It is good to see that Harney is willing to address it's customer issues, and that they have not replaced their customer service agent with AI slop. Also, in fairness to Harney, this review is based purely on the product delivery experience, not the quality of their product. I also note that two of the teas that I received were new stock - packaged in June 2026 with a 2 year expiration date. The third had no designation regarding either packaging or expiration. I prefer to buy from the original vendor when I can instead of off of Amazon as in doing so you sometimes gamble on authenticity and freshness.

I had been purchasing loving tea from Harney for years but the last two one pound bags of their Earl Grey Supreme was virtually tasteless. Which was strange because the bergamot aroma was strong when opening the bag but no flavor at all after brewing. My sister used to purchase English Breakfast from Harney - also by the pound - but she recently reported that the last batch she received from them had no flavor either.

A cup that smells of bergamot in the bag but pours flat is not the tea we want in your pot or your sister's, and we take it seriously, because every tea we sell is tasted for quality before it ships. When the aroma is strong but the flavor goes missing in the cup, that usually points to the freshness of a particular lot rather than the blend itself, and that is exactly what we want to track down. When I order tea online, I always read the ingredients, because I have allergies. One particular tea I ordered from Harneys had different ingredients than what was written on the website. I returned the item, unopened. After 3 months of emailing this company, I have still been unable to get my.money back. The best that they can do is offer me a credit. Pathetic, considering the refund would only be $20. Harney have since changed the ingredients for the tea I purchased. This was entirely Harney's fault. I deserved a prompt refund.

UPDATE: Rep contacted me within 2 days of original review. Told me how to remove lid, acknowledged the issue, and offered to send a new tin. Will follow up with her one way or the other. .................... I would like to review the tea, but I have not been able to get the can open for two years, and neither has anyone else I have handed it to. The lid is too wide and shallow to get a good grip, exacerbated by the lip on the top of the can. The can itself is too wide to hold firmly while trying to twist the lid off. I do not believe the company has never received this feedback before. Can sure looks pretty on the shelf, where it will sit until Andre the Giant comes to visit.

My 5 star review for a black tea was immediately posted. When I tried two of their Oolong teas I found them to be of poor quality and offers two reviews - neither of which the company posted. An email pointing this out provided an unsatisfactory answer and a suggestion I return them The required return process was unbelieveably involved and not worth the trouble. I find Harney has beautiful containers, but customer service and product quality is not worthy of further orders.

I had purchased multiple teas as souvenir for my family before the holidays. I received an incorrect item. I was flying out of the country soon, so I couldn't receive a replacement. I was disappointed.
