Can I give Negative Stars for damage!?
Can I give Negative Stars for damage!? Do NOT hire Handy Pro. Sloppy substandard work. On top of that - damage to adjacent areas such as gouge in my floor, paint on brand new light fixture they installed, damage to oven when driving screws to seat, paint on cupboard, etc etc, They came back a couple times but everything still isn't fixed. Biggest issue to highlight: My new oven that they installed - It wasn't seated properly the first time (wasn't flush to cupboard / wasn't screwed in) so they came back to "fix" it and now it has significantly damaged my wall, Every time I open the oven door it scrapes my wall. I'm left with a significant arc-shaped gouge in my wall. (It has been a few years so the date of experience shown isn't correct but I have a new contractor here today so decided to post. New contractor isn't certain he can fix the oven installation but is going to try.) Note: Handy Pro came back to my house a few times over the years, things still aren't right so even if staff has changed it's still horrible. ********UPDATE to response below: The lower oven door was not tested for function prior to the handyman leaving after he seated it the second time around (due to it never being attached initially with the screws provided with the oven.) I don't often use the lower oven so I didn't notice right away. And... my calls after that were unanswered. This situation is absolutely NOT due to wear over the years. It happened the FIRST time I opened the oven door. And yes, wouldn't it have been nice to communicate directly?

HandyPro pride ourselves on our quality and standing behind our work, which is why we want to clarify the facts of this 6-year timeline: April 2019: We initially installed your oven and completed kitchen updates. A standard 1-year warranty exists precisely because a contractor cannot control daily wear and tear, house settling, or how forcefully an appliance door is operated over 5 years of daily use. October 2019: We returned for a minor drywall touch-up and adjusted the oven. Our completion photo confirms the oven area and wall were left in flawless condition. October 2024 (5 Years Later): After five years, you reached out with new concerns. Even though your warranty expired 4 years prior, we chose to return completely free of charge as a gesture of goodwill because we value our clients . January 2025: After you rescheduled, our team completed the complimentary touch-ups. Our mandatory completion photo from January 2025 proves the walland oven surround were once again left completely immaculate, smooth, and undamaged. image.png Prior to seeing this review, our office did not receive any communication or indication that you were experiencing a friction issue or that you were unhappy with our January visit. We returned far out of warranty to service this project as a free courtesy, and our records show the area was fully restored and left in pristine condition. While we stand firmly behind the quality and care of our craftsmanship, we sincerely apologize for the frustration this ongoing situation has caused you. We always prefer to handle unexpected issues through direct communication, and we welcome you to reach out to our office to discuss a constructive solution.
