I just ordered the desktop letter…
I just ordered the desktop letter example sheets. I was disappointed to see that they were packed in a huge cardboard box. I paid a lot for shipping...Also, I was hoping they had more examples of the more advanced Italics. Maybe i ordered the wrong set? Aside from that, I love the program! My children were honestly frustrated with it initially but, now they love it! It's really helping them focus and perfect their writing!

It is so great that you are enjoying Getty-Dubay Italic! Thank you for sharing your observations. The Laminated Desk Strip is a quick-reference guide on print letter formation and cursive joins, as supplement to the Getty-Dubay handwriting workbooks that sits on the student's desk. Since it shows all the letters of the alphabet and numerals at the grade-appropriate writing size, it covers a lot already in its 17 inches of length. For those who want more specific letter- or word-combination guidance, we often suggest the Getty-Dubay Fonts which allow you to make custom handwriting models on your own word processor. (And it looks as if you have purchased those already — so you’re all set in that regard!) We agree that an 18” box seems like a bit much, but our distributor tells us that this is the least expensive way to ship the product via USPS media mail and keep it safe from bends and crimps during shipping.
