This is my experience. This bank treated me like a nobody. They locked up my account for no reason. Literally they could not tell me why. I told them to close my account. This is why I test banks for a few months before operating with them. It is not hard to get someone on the phone but they could never answer my questions, they just opened up case tickets. This is my experience with them. I would never recommend them to anyone. This is legally not a defamation review as it is my direct experience so it should not be removed as a previous one. This review is "my opinion" and that they are a terrible bank.

At Grasshopper, we take security very seriously and have several precautionary measures in place to ensure the safety and integrity of our platforms. This includes requesting due diligence documents to verify your account(s) and identity. According to our records, the funding deposit was returned one of two accounts that were opened, and we did not receive the additional verification documents as requested. As a result, your accounts were closed, and the funds were returned. While this may be an inconvenience, these measures are intended to protect both our clients and our bank. We regret any frustration this may have caused and appreciate your understanding as we strive to maintain a secure digital banking environment. Although it did not work out with us, we hope you have found the right fit for your business!
If it's not one thing it's another- I've had to call two dozen times in the last couple months over hitting deposit limits (not withdrawal but deposit) someone dropped the ball and they sat on our request such that our business couldn't clear a check for two weeks, despite me immediately submitting all they asked us for. Yet again Monday we hit another deposit limit. They won't let any check through that deviates in any way from the full legal name of your business. If your client abbreviates anything they will reject the check. Forget about the interest you'll be spending a ton of money in stamps mailing all your checks back to clients, or worse they will be super mad at you when they pay cancel check fees to reissue you the check. Just not good for business and we regret leaving Capital One Business UPDATED 8/23/24: there was absolutely no delay on our end the documentation turn around was same day. Check your records. We couldn’t accept checks for more than half a month because they dropped the ball. It was admitted on the phone but they want to act like it was our fault here

Upon review, it appears there was a delay in receiving the requested documents, which unfortunately led to further delays in processing your request for a permanent limit increase. In the meantime, temporary increases were approved. We work hard to uphold all appropriate policies and procedures to protect your funds and our bank. Name mismatches can often cause returns, holds, and further business disruptions, so we strive to work closely with our clients to avoid these issues.
