Hello Andy, Charlie here, Customer Service Manager at Globlinker. Using 10GB in 3 days can be completely normal depending on how the device is being used, especially for activities such as streaming. This does not necessarily indicate that there is anything wrong with the device or the data usage. For complete transparency, we can provide you with a detailed 30-day usage report so we can better understand your usage and help you optimize your data consumption. One important thing to keep in mind is that your Globlinker hotspot is recognized by your phone, tablet, or laptop as a regular Wi-Fi connection, just like your home Wi-Fi. Because of this, connected devices may automatically start software updates, app updates, iCloud or cloud backups, photo syncing, and other background activities. These can sometimes consume a significant amount of data without you noticing. We recommend disabling automatic updates and cloud syncing while connected to the hotspot if you want to reduce data usage. Regarding your 2GB free data every month, this offer requires activation from our side. As this is a special offer that was not available to all previous customers, it is not automatically activated on every device. Please send an email to [email protected] with your device serial number (SN) and mention my name, Charlie, in the email. I’ll make sure your request is handled as quickly as possible and help you with the activation.
