I bought TWO model 7155 openers. I have had trouble with BOTH of them within the first month. They have excellent trouble support agents IF YOU CAN GET TO THEM. You cannot. On hold 1.5 hours each time you call. Something to consider before buying one of these units. Honestly this is the WORST customer support experience I have ever had with any company.

I recently sent several emails requesting that they send me a missing part for my garage door opener package, but they kept sending me the same generic response over and over without resolving the issue. So I called customer support, but even after being on hold for over an hour, no one answered, so I had to hang up. It was their mistake to leave the part out, yet asking them to send it made me feel like I was begging. I think it’s wrong for them to even call themselves “customer support.”

Genie has the worst customer service support I have ever dealt with. They should be ashamed of themselves. On hold for hours, no call backs, no emails answered. Honestly a joke of a company. Update, After finally reaching someone on customer support my warranty issues and replacement parts are on their way. Taysha from customer support made the warranty experience and trouble shooting easy. Overall still happy with my purchase. But from a bussiness side of customer service, Genie needs to invest in more employees like Taysha. Took 3 weeks calling, 2 weeks trying to get AI to answer my warranty claim and 7 hrs of my life on hold to get nowhere. Until Taysha answered my call early in the morning.

the communication they don't get back you . on 9/20/26 made call from 10.am to 3pm own hold about 30 min or longer have time on hold the rest of time left number to call back like they ask bull guess what they said the could get hold of me so i stop call waiting for the next day to call me back still no call i talk to someone 9/20/26 so 9/21 26 call AGAIN no help just on hold. the question was i a old genie old garage door i wont to put a new genie universal keypad wireless remote i did talk to someone earley 9/20/26 but go disconnected and have not heard from no one sense. i guest the are to big to help or take service call.

My garage door broke and it was from Genie. I asked if they have warranty and I was told their warranty is only 1 year. Even a laptop comes with one year warranty

My Genie Opener has been nothing but a dissapointment. Ive spent more on service calls than it cost new. Today all the remotes quit working. We tried to call the 800 number for tech support and were on hold for over an hour before giving up. Genie shoud be embarrassed

The garage door opener 7155 works great! So I decided to buy the Aladdin Connect for it. Guess what? I didn't need it, it's built in. Sure wish tech support would have told me this instead of escalating call to engineering. I will be returning the unit to Genie and hopefully get a full refund.

It is a little difficult to get through, but they do give you an option to call you back. They said the callback time should be about 15 minutes. It was about an hour. They did call me back, and then they told me, "Oh, yeah, you need a different department." They couldn't transfer me to the department. They were going to get me the number. They said their computer froze, and then we were disconnected. So unfortunately, I thought maybe I'd get a call back with what to do. No call back, so I had to figure it out on my own.
