GEICOReviews of geicocarinsurance.com

When I bought my flood insurance I completed the application, gave my $700 as estimated. They did not send me a dec page for 2 months, did not communicate except for a bill for $62 which I couldn't pay online because their system wouldn't let me so I sent a check. They gave me 15 days to pay the check from the date on the letter. I sent with 8 days still left to pay. They processed my payment 1 day late and knocked my coverages to a fraction of the actual replacement cost of my home and figured that would be the end of it. $45K to replace my house. No notification as to why or how to remedy. After hours on the phone and they reinstated my coverages but they charged another nearly $200. Another corp ripping off it customers.

After my daughter’s accident, her car needed a replacement door on the left passenger side. It is a 2022 vehicle with only 23,600 miles, yet GEICO declined to approve a new door and instead approved a used door from a salvage yard. I called my adjuster, Paavni, on two separate days and never received a return call. Another employee in the department, Anisha, told me that the policy allows GEICO to choose the lowest-cost replacement option. I understand that insurers consider repair costs. However, it was not clear to me that this could mean replacing a damaged door with one sourced from a salvaged vehicle. As a policyholder, I would have appreciated a clearer explanation of this limitation and a response from my adjuster. I encourage other GEICO customers to review their policies carefully and ask whether repairs will use new original manufacturer parts, aftermarket parts, or used salvage parts. Don't assume your coverage guarantees a new replacement part, even on a low-mileage vehicle. The lack of communication and clarity made an already stressful situation more frustrating.

I was at one point a Geico customer however on Feb10, 2026 I was not with Geico yet I was hit by a GEICo customer totaling my Vehicle using a bus lane to bypass traffic, until this day even with city cameras showing that at time of accident thier customer bypassed dead stop traffic using a bus lane and ram into be blistering my front end and they said I was at fault and never paid me out for my loss. Went to traffic court all tickets dismissed sent video of the accident showing all traffic was dead stop police report had her statement as driving in third primary lane and paid this customer and placed me at fault even after progressive uber insurance place the other driver 90% at fault. If you deal with Geico get a lawyer right away or they will not pay you

The sheer incompetence and lack of integrity at GEICO is mind-boggling. One of your insured drivers hit my completely stationary vehicle while it was legally parked in a marked spot. Instead of doing their jobs, your claims representatives acted like absolute trash, showing zero professionalism and immediately trying to blame me for a crash I wasn't even moving for. To make your complete lack of ethics even more pathetic, you haven't even received a copy of the police report yet, but you have already denied my claim. I will be taking immediate steps against your company and filing a formal complaint with the State Board of Insurance to expose this garbage handling of a clear at-fault claim.

My brother was a long-time GEICO auto insurance customer. After he passed away earlier this year, our family promptly notified GEICO, followed every instruction we were given, and provided all the requested legal documentation to close his account. Despite this, GEICO continued sending correspondence addressed to him for months and even referred a $59 balance to a debt collection agency. Our grieving mother ultimately paid the balance herself simply to stop the collection activity. We still have not received a meaningful response or resolution from GEICO. While every other organization we dealt with during this difficult time treated our family with professionalism and compassion, GEICO's handling of my brother's account was unresponsive, unprofessional, and deeply disappointing.

Just got a Great deal on car insurance, better price than previous insurer.

Outstanding driver here with no bad record on file, 15+ years experience, they wouldn't honor the same price without the drive easy program (discount) that they have going on. I called them to request the drive easy program to be removed and to maintain the policy at the same price, and they wouldn't honor so I'm changing policy. They stuck to their playbook and wouldn't give me a single moment or time of their day so they lost a customer. Their sales agents are also very rapey and harass the crap out of you from my experience. Bad experience overall, the claims process was not the best either.

A Geico's customer swung his car door and hit my new Tesla car. He admitted fault and provided his Geico Insurance information. I got 2 independent repair estimates from 2 very reputable, Tesla authorized repair shops of about $2,500 & $2,700 and I sent those to Geico. Geico's adjuster provided me an extremely low-ball & insulting $500 repair estimate. This is so typical of Insurance companies, especially Geico. This is unethical, fraudulent and horrible business practice from Geico. I was planning to switch Insurance company to insure our 6 cars, now I know which one to stay away... GEICO!!!
