I've had my eye on this bike for a couple years and decided it was time! Grateful to discover it was still available. I love the ride, the look, all of it. The e-assist will nudge me toward riding to work far more often than I was on my long haul trucker. My ride home is all uphill. Now, it's no problem. Stoked to be riding this sweet Babymaker II for years to come!

Ive seen some poor reviews on both the bike and the customer service. I feel for those customers because i have had nothing but a positive experience with the bike and FLX. It took a year from signing up on indigogo in March 2020 but it was understandable, considering the worldwide pandemic that hit. In the year since I received the bike, I rode just over 7000 miles, using it as a daily commuter. I absoluetly loved the experience. Never had any issues with the build quality or components of the bike, although the charger didnt die on me after about 10 months, and in addition to normal wear and tear that that kind of milage would produce, i also had a few wrecks! Bike handled them better than i did. And a replacement charger was shipped to me a few days after i emailed flx about it, quick service!

Love it ! The Babymaker 2 is great! I'd highly recommend it to anyone looking for a commuter e bike.

Happiness is an E Bike to Commute I bought a Babymaker in the heights of the pandemic, and yes there were delays when ordering - but FLX were amazing at keeping people informed. The global shortage of components has now affected every bike maker on the planet so they should not be judged on this point. I’ve had the bike for a year now and I love it. I’ve commuted through wind, rain and shine, in darkness and in sunshine and I absolutely love this bike. The speed limiter at 15 mph is fine for commuting - it allows you to pull away at lights safely and quickly and get up hills with ease. One of the greatest benefits has been the fact that I can commute in my work clothes as I rarely get sweaty. The range is okay - it can handle about 30 km on a charge depending on how heavy you are and how many hills you have to go up - but it is quick to charge up and ready to go. The future of urban transport is e-bike and the more people take it up - the better our cities will get.

Purchased the Gladiator 2.0 a few weeks ago and couldn't be happier. Absolute beast of a bike, crushes all types of terrains and hills. Phenomenal range as well. One test drive and you’ll be in love. The staff were also super friendly and helpful throughout the process.

Ordered the Babymaker in February. It is now August 14th and still don’t have a ship date. Customer service, when anyone finally replies (NEVER do they answer the phone) was snarky. I have asked for a refund. My husband has a black Babymaker and the motor is already not working. They sent him a YouTube video that didn’t solve anything. Really frustrating experience. I have asked for a full refund for mine since I have missed the whole summer and no reply. I have recommended to our friend’ inquiries that they look at Rad Rover instead.

Ordered two Babymakers two years ago and received the first after 20 months and second not yet received. Customer service does not reply consistent. The first bike has failure but no outlook to having it fixed. Worst buy ever and money wasted

I ordered a Blade 2.0 and it was delivered within 10 days. This is remarkable because I have another bike on order with a different company and am still waiting 2 months after placing the order. The bike was packaged well, although one of the protective pieces for the front wheel was lodged in the bearing and took considerable effort to release. Assembly was easy; if you can tighten a bolt with a wrench, you can assemble this bike. I ordered the throttle which arrived separately and I had to install myself. The display does not quite fit over the stem so I could only secure it with one bolt. This is a common issue with these display brackets on other bikes too. I was pleasantly surprised when I realized my bike has the UART version of the Bafang Ultra motor, this will allow me to customize the parameters to suite my riding style. The newer CANbus versions don't allow this. The bike rides great, plenty of power even in the lower pedal assist settings. Climbs steep hills and really moves on the flats. A Rohloff hub and belt drive at this price point is not available from anywhere else. I definitely recommend a suspension seatpost post like the Kinekt. The rear brakes on my bike are a little mushy, I'm hoping a quick bleed will resolve that but not something I expect to have to do on a new bike. The bike only comes in one size so expect to do a little tweaking with different stems and/or handlebars to get your bike dialed in for you. I'm 5'11" and feel like a little longer stem will be more comfortable. Overall I recommend this bike for anyone looking for a high performance mountain bike.
