I would strongly advise anyone considering Florida Window and Doors (also known as Storm Tight) to think twice before signing a contract. My experience was extremely disappointing from start to finish. My project began in January 2025 and wasn’t completed until July 2026—an unbelievable 18 months for a window installation. Throughout the process, I dealt with constant delays, poor communication, broken promises, and a lack of accountability. The installation manager, Renee, was, in my experience, very unprofessional and made an already frustrating situation even worse. When I finally spoke with Mitch, one of the owners of Florida Window and Doors, I was told that I was “lucky” he was completing my project because he had purchased Storm Tight and technically didn’t have to finish it. I explained that I wasn’t going to pay for a project that had been left incomplete after waiting so long. During that conversation, I was told that the company had over 120 attorneys and that if I didn’t pay, they would sue me and place a lien on my home. I found that conversation intimidating and completely unacceptable, especially after enduring an 18-month project. For the amount of money I invested, I expected professionalism, respect, and quality customer service. Instead, the entire experience was stressful and exhausting. My advice to anyone considering this company is to read as many customer reviews as you can before signing a contract. I wish I had done that. Had I known what other customers experienced, I would have made a different decision. Based on my personal experience, I cannot recommend Florida Window and Doors/Storm Tight.

HORRIBLE Company unwilling to do the right thing and don’t stand by their word. Forced me to change the plan for installation twice causing me a lot of money and time. It’s now mid July. I started this in April and my windows are not ordered yet, they are now refusing to install the 2 windows that they said they would if I had them straightened on my own. (I wanted the arch top to be removed.) A difference of 4” at the top to 0 inches on the sides needed to be filled in. It's hurricane season and I have temporary windows just sitting there while I get tossed around and told different things by different people who know nothing about my project!!! It's awesome they first blamed the inspectors in Collier county for being too picky and then other divisions of their own company, pointing the finger at sales misinformation. Like that’s suppose to be a comfort! Stay away these people couldn't care less about their customers. They treat you horrible and think (I'M SORRY) is enough to make it right! Poor customer care and a poor unprofessional company.

We had three sets of double doors installed early November 2024. Today is June 5 2025 and the project still does not have the correct matching door handles I ordered. The double doors on the front and back of house have a silver handle on the left side and a bronze handle on the right door. Looks stupid. I feel stupid. I feel stupid I didn’t see the other bad reviews before I did business. Company has my money. They make you feel stupid when you call them. They act like it’s no big deal. They keep ordering the wrong parts. Please don’t do what I did. Be smart and do business with someone else. Sincerely Feeling Stupid on Marco Island

josh king was straight forward with no bs

The salesman, Rick Lasky was phenomenal - went into great detail about the differences. Carlos and his team did a great job installing. They have always been very communicate with any questions I had. I couldn't ask for a better experience.

The installation is still not complete. There has been no communication. Just horrible service. It's beyond frustrating. I want my home back!!!

Stay away from these company. FWD did not finish installing the windows we purchased and the county permit did not include all of the work we paid for. I had to correct the permit myself and hire another company to complete the installation. Luckily I was able to dispute the cost FWD charged because I used my own credit card. FWD did not argue against the dispute, they did not even answer the credit card company's request for information regarding the dispute.

Absolutely the worst company I have ever dealt with. They damaged my home and will not send painters to repair it. They are corrupt, dishonest and the most condescending company..... STAY AWAY FROM THEM! The salesman put on a believable, good show and under the recommendation of a condo board member ( who apparently got paid } I ordered the windows. They DO NOT CARE ABOUT THEIR CUSTOMERS or about integrity an any way. I now have to hire a lawyer and fight them in court. Florida Window and Door is pathetic!!!!!
