The absolute worst
Absolutely, the worst business execution, design, and communication I could imagine. Communication is nonexistent — waiting on hold takes over 2.5 hours, and no one answers. If you call within a few hours of closing, you will be on hold until hours after they’ve likely all gone home. The only way any contact has been made is through Twitter, and even then, they simply direct you to FAQ pages. Especially during COVID-19, the system to schedule at-home tests is abysmal, at best. You have to guess an exact date and time to see if a proctor is available? Coming up with a booking system seems pretty elementary — one would think that a company that tests competence would have at least a little. Once you begin your booked test (for whatever time you manage to get), you have to wait for the proctor and then wait for them to run the applicable tests and deem whether it’s good enough. It’s understandable that the environment should seem secure and cheating-free, but for other people to be able to say that they were failed due to the volume of their computer’s fan? Lastly, they have absolutely no regard or respect for their customers. This test is issued to professionals to determine eligibility for employment. To toy with that and allow your business to affect people so negatively is despicable. People are planning their life around this test, and ETS will move the date that the results are posted, or when the test can be taken without any notice whatsoever. In a particular instance, the results have been delayed an additional 3 weeks from the original posting date, due to the test being taken from home. However, the test is the same, submitted in the same manner, and review the same way. In the current environment of COVID-19, ETS is punishing those that could have been negatively affected by in-person testing, those who are complying with stay-at-home orders, and those who are socially conscious of the current situations. I hope someone displaces or dismantles this horrendous business soon so few people have to go through this brutally painstaking process.
