About Entergy
Entergy Corporation is a Fortune 500 integrated energy company engaged primarily in electric power production and retail distribution operations in the Deep South of the United States.
Entergy (entergy.com) has 48 customer reviews on The Fair Hearing, with an average rating of 1.5 out of 5.
Entergy is our sole energy provider in this neighborhood. If and when there is any power outage , it always affects the same pocket of homes. Today it took 52 entergy workers 6 hours to change 2 transformers. And after talking to the head person on site and calling and leaving a message, it will be the crap next time. Going to break down and get a generator.

This has to be the worst energy…
This has to be the worst energy supplier on earth. In the last 7months my bill almost tripled usually being 200 per month went up to almost 600 . Then they have you over a barrel since they are the only game in town. If I could give a more negative review I would

Entergy complaint now more positive.
Update as of 3:02 PM (CST), Thursday, June 8, 2023:
Even though my electrician had to reschedule the work order for next Monday (since the disconnect wasn’t completed as I was promised it would be by the Entergy CSR I spoke to at 5:20 PM on Tuesday, June 6th, who may have encountered some unknown issue that prevented her from completing and/or submitting my request, after saying that it HAD been completed), Entergy’s office in Malvern, Arkansas (my property has a Malvern address) called me to advise that they were taking command of the situation and would guarantee that my new temporary service disconnect would occur next Monday morning, right before the electrician is scheduled toI be there.
On the call was an agent for the Malvern office, her supervisor and their engineer that was already assisting me with my project.
And, they also said that they would search for a record and/or recording of Tuesday evening’s phone call. Maybe it wasn’t incompetence.
Maybe said previous agent didn’t lie to me. But, something happened that prevented the filing of my original disconnect request. In either event, I’m now satisfied.
MY ORIGINAL COMPLAINT:
Entergy Arkansas failed to complete a temporary disconnect request, even though I filed it two days before the order was requested.
When it wasn’t done, I called Entergy customer service, only to find out that said request was never filed.
And, customer service told me that they couldn’t go back to a recording of said phone call. When I asked why, the agent just disconnected the call.
And, no survey was available at the end of said phone call. So, I couldn’t leave a negative review on said agent. Typical.
Entergy agents are incompetent, rude, condescending, dishonest and lazy.
So, my electrician is charging me a fee for showing up, even though they couldn’t complete the work they were scheduled to perform, since Entergy dropped the ball.
And, my electrician’s dispatcher even told me that their company has the same problem with Entergy. They, too, have filed multiple temporary service disconnect requests that are never completed.
Unfortunately, Entergy doesn’t care because there is no way to hold them accountable for such incompetence.

After living here 8 years (next month)
After living here 8 years (next month), and just selling this property in Mississippi, the guy who purchased my property informed me they had been charging me "business rates".
So when I called today, sure enough....been ripped-off for the past 8 years. The woman from Entergy told me that during construction (I built a 24x32 pole barn and 10x16 shed), a "regular meter won't handle all those tools, so they pus a bigger meter".....honest that's what she told me, and I was laughing at her the entire time......dumbest thing I've ever heard of, and others I've told said the same thing.
I told her they owed me a refund on the price difference for the past 8 years. They're sending someone out next week to "investigate".
She pretty much called me stupid for paying an incorrect bill for 8 years, and I informed her I never knew it was incorrect. It doesn't say "Business Account" is simply has MS_GS on it.
So take it from Entergy, don't trust them. Depending on how they want to go from here, will determine any legal action on my part.

Awful Customer Service
Currently, on hold with Customer service, Representative LaTiffany who is very rude. I began our conversation by telling her about the health challenges I'm currently dealing with. I told her I'd been paying my bills and wasn't monitoring it. She then asked if I was monitoring my daily usage. I told her she's very insensitive. She replied we are all entitled to our own opinions. I asked her about my Residential Street Light Billing and the gross increase of the Storm Restoration charge from May 2021 to the current invoice. I told her the dates my invoices were due when I referenced the differences in the amounts. She stated she needed the invoice numbers. I gave her the invoice number. I have been placed on hold more than 3 times and still have no answers! She stated my bill is correct because of my current usage; however, it does not explain the drastic gross increase in the Storm Restoration Charge for the Residential Street Light. If the people you hire can't handle working with the public, they should not be in customer service. Someone should really listen to this call to see how long I've been on hold. The call has been in progress for 25 minutes at this point. She returns to the line saying "One Moment please ma'am" It's almost as if she's hoping I will simply hang up. Awful customer service! She recently came back stating please hold a brief moment. I've been on hold for 3/4 of this call maybe longer. This is absolutely ridiculous! The call has been picked up and placed on hold 2 additional times with no comments from LaTiffany. She finally comes back to state Entergy has no control over this charge. Requested to speak to a supervisor.

Entergy of Louisiana USELESS
If I could give Entergy of Louisiana no stars, I would. First off, they LIE to the news about 80% of customers having their power on after Hurricane Ida. They are patting themselves on the back because most of New Orleans is up and running. I’m 14 days now without power. There hasn’t been one useless Entergy truck down my road to lift one pole or repair one wire. All around our road repairs are being made - except this road. Entergy will want me to pay my inflated bill on the 22nd. I’m not doing it. Why? Because I’ve been spending $30 a day on gas for a generator. I think it’s time for a class action lawsuit against Entergy. We are paying customers and always IGNORED BY THIS BIASED COMPANY. Leo P. Denault has a compensation and salary of over $11 million dollars salary. He can pay my bill. Leo P. Denault should be forced to go without power for as long as the rest of us.

Awful.
Entergy inflates our bill every time there is a major storm event, which is always curious, because the power goes out and we literally use LESS energy. When challenged, they patronize you and make you feel that you MUST have overlooked something. It couldn’t possibly be inflating pricing to cover their costs to restore power. Also, when they restore power; they act like heroes. Sorry but for what we pay (which is about 3 times as much as other cities), you don’t get a medal for that. It is your job, not a news story. It’s the utility and there are no supplier choices. You are at the mercy of this company for honesty, and I do not believe we get that.
