The simplest, most complete UX for this sort of work that I have ever seen. I wish every hosting company, security company, and other nerd tool I use on the web would look at how things work on DNSimple. More hsoting companies should consider working with them. The integration with Heroku is stellar and makes hosting at Heroku an even easier choice.

Really great customer service! I spoke to 2 women, Carla and Stephanie both of them provided me with easy to follow instructions when I was stuck. Bear in mind I know NOTHING about domains, websites etc, so I was struggling along! They honestly both made it very easy for me to follow. Thank you, it made for a much calmer experience!

If a domain expires, they keep charging you for it, even without reregistering it, until you explicitly go and delete it from the interface. They know they aren't providing a service to you, but don't care. They want to keep taking your money. It's very shady.

Thanks so much for taking the time to write this. I’m so sorry to see that you left our services feeling this way. As I cannot find a specific support ticket based off of the information here, I can’t know for sure, but it sounds like your domain expired and you didn’t unsubscribe? We are a subscription based service, as we don’t want to make any assumptions about what you’re doing with your domains, we will not close your account automatically on your behalf. Can you write into [email protected] and address it to Sarah? That’s me, I’m the VP of Customer Success and I’d love to learn more about what happened and take closer look. I’ll be on the lookout!
I automated my certificate issuance and installation with DNSimple webhooks and APIs. That really freed my time.

DNSimple provided an easy way to do https to https redirects that just worked, and it was easy to configure. 30-minute SSL certificates are magic. There was initially some kind of synchronization problem, but they solved that within an hour of submitting a trouble ticket.

Their customer support sucks, My website went down and there was nothing that I could do to make it live until my 60 day waiting period was up. dealing with them was an absolute nightmare. If there is anyway you can avoid dealing with these guys, then I would recomend it.

Thank you for sharing your feedback with us. We are sorry to hear about your experience. We take customer concerns seriously and appreciate the opportunity to address your review. Looking into this, we found that our customer support team did respond to the three emails you sent regarding the issue. They provided information on the timeline for transferring your domain. However, it seems that there may have been a communication breakdown, as it appears you did not receive those responses. Would you be willing to reach out to us again at [email protected] so we can help you with this matter further?
I use DNSimple for transferring my domain to my original hosting, as ClickFunnels can’t transfer directly, they said I need to go through DNSimple… However, it took 60 days for transfer period, as a result, I stay using DNSimple, to wait for transformation of domain. As a matter of fact, I did not need to use other DNSimple service at the moment… So, I write to DNSimple and Carla help me to refund the unnecessary payment that I made, and also she took a step further by reminding me that what to do next. This is a great attitude which let me feel that the thoughtfulness of the customer service mindset. In summary, Carla did a great work… Keep it up… And thanks again…🌷
