Country Inns & Suites By CarlsonReviews of countryinns.com

I was very dissatisfied with the location and staff in Greensboro NC the room was not cleaned well things were falling apart in rooms the young girl at the front desk with brown hair was very racist and not at all polite I would not recommend this place at all

Because of ambiguity in the room picture when I chose the room; showing a 'partition' and 2 queen beds I thought that was what I would be getting. In reality, it is only 2 queen beds with no division. Picture very misleading. So do I believe the picture or the description. Picture worth a thousand words as saying goes. So I believed the picture. Very disappointed when I arrived with only 2 queen beds. Fix the website so other travelers aren't misled. I booked 5 nights here because I thought it would be a suite and could not cancel. Not good impression of my first stay at this Choice hotel. The positives: beds are comfy and has TBN on TV which is nice. They do have nice pictures on the wall thruout the hotel and the landscaping with flowers is outstanding.

We booked a room on Priceline for my birthday in Metairie ,Louisiana. It started off a bit shady. We were assigned to 315 with an adjoining room. I accepted it as I was traveling with my husband. We could here young girls laughing and getting ready to go out for the evening. We went out to dinner and things got shadier upon our return about 9pm. There were numerous men sitting outside their rooms smoking and drinking on the balconies. The whole place reeks of smoke. We forge ahead despite the creepiness. I ran a bath and my husband watched tv in bed. As soon as I got out of the tub, he whispered; get dressed someone is trying to get in here through the adjoining door! We called the front desk and informed them to call the police, come and check this out now! She came to our room and escorted us to another room. This room also reeked of cigarette smoke. The oder was coming from the desk chair Mind you, We ( in pjs)are nearly running past a couple of other folks standing outside their rooms smoking and starring at the ruckus. Not once did we see management or security go to that adjoining room and address the occupants. The police did not come to speak to us either. Needless to say we did not sleep and were out of there by 5:30 am. I requested a refund from the hotel via the manager, Greg Rose the very next day . We have not received an apology, or a refund. What a disappointing end to my 70th birthday evening.

We stayed at the state college location in PA. First impressions were good. We received a call when our room was ready. That's a first. Upon check in I was given a bag with 2 water bottles and a snack. Nice! The hotel was clean and staff decent. The bed had me tossing all night and 2 days later my back still hurts. Breakfast was less than desirable. The sausage was Grey looking, yuck. Not many choices either. Holiday Inn Express does much better. We won't stay there again.

My stay was in Saraland, AL, October 7 & 8, 2023. The hotel was just fine, and the staff were awesome, but I'd had a problem with booking. I thought I had booked directly with the hotel (?) until I had to change from a king bed to two queens. The hotel had no record of my reservation and said I should try Expedia, which I did. Expedia gave me a phone number of a "third party" which was the correct number, but the woman on the phone said they couldn't make changes to an existing reservation & I needed to cancel my room and re-book it BUT they would keep their non-refundable charge of $15.99!! After a brief but lively conversation, she agreed to refund ALL of my deposit, and I made a new reservation directly with the hotel. Be sure you know who you're dealing with when making reservations! The reason I gave the hotel 4 stars instead of 5 was that the bathroom floor was a bit sticky. Breakfast was great, beds were comfortable, everything worked!

On 9/26/22, I reserved a room for 2 queen beds at the Country Inn & Suites located 3035 Holiday Lane, Eagan, MN 55121. The reservation was for the nights of 10/22, 23, 24 & 25. I received an email confirmation at 1:17 PM on 9/26/22 for 2 queen beds. I would be traveling with my sister to attend our brother's funeral and burial on 10/24/22. Hence the reason for two queen beds. At 6:10 AM on 10/20/22 I received an email offering an upgrade to a premium room for as little as $15 per night. I requested it with the thought of receiving an upgraded room with 2 queen beds or maybe better. When I checked into the hotel late in the evening on 10/22/22, I was told I had received an upgraded room. When we walked in the room there was one king bed and one sofa bed. My sister noticed the mattress on the sofa bed was thin and not very comfortable for one night let alone four. It was NOT the type of room I reserved. I needed 2 queen beds! I was told there were none left. At that time I started calling other hotels in the area and did find one with the room type I originally requested and was confirmed by the Country Inn & Suites. I immediately went to the front desk and checked out of the hotel. Reminder: it was a long day of travel under difficult circumstances. My departing words to the person at the front desk were "DO NOT charge my American Express card." His indignant response was, "I will have to see what the manager says." He did not even apologize for the inconvenience or offer to make good on the situation! To add to the debacle, my American Express card was charged $149.53. I made several attempts to reach someone at the hotel that could authorize a credit for $149.53. I finally spoke to the hotel manager but she would have to get it approved by her boss, who is supposedly located in Tucson, Arizona. She would not give me his phone number because she was not allowed to. Since the hotel manager was not empowered to even give me her bosses phone number or issue a credit, I did not have a lot of confidence that anyone with Country Inn & Suites had a sincere interest in helping. Since I could not get his phone number I had to find him on my own. I sent him a Linkedin email asking to please give me a call. NO RESPONSE from him. How pathetic for a company with $7.3 billion in annual revenue!

simply The best in Big Flats Ny!!!i stayed here for 35 days. yes it was averaging around $80 per night but not only was it the cheapest for a upscale hotel it was the best value by far!! it was Xmas time. the lobby was done so well and so homey and comfortable i felt i could have xmas eve with my Grand-kids there!!the Breakfasts each and every morning had much to choose from.and tasted great!! the hired help were the best i ever had at any hotel ive stayed over the past 63 years. i would recommend this hotel to anyone in a heartbeat that needs a place in upstate NY!!

Stayed at the country inn in Sumter Sc the front desk lady was sarcastic and very slick at the mouth. She gave me very rude energy and racist vibe. When we asked about a hot tub she proceeded to say “this ain’t the Marriott” and that is not okay. Room was very worn down and needs updating.
