The prices here are great, but if you have any problems at all, good luck contacting customer support. My latest order got lost in the mail. They have basically no email support. I sent them three emails and got no response. I called the number on my prescription bottle and got someone on the phone and they said they'd resend it and send me a new tracking number. A week later I still haven't received any new tracking information. Just tried calling again. Waited on hold for 20 minutes and they hung up on me.

Kroger discontinued their Rx program, so after comparing costs, I switched to Cost Plus, even though I've had terrible experiences in the past with other mail order Rx. My drug is a very common generic. I set up an account and designated it as my preferred pharmacy in MyChart (hospital system portal) before going to see my Dr. I had no issues with Cost Plus receiving my prescription. Dr ordered it on a Monday, it was sitting in my cart when I got home, I placed my order, and it shipped out the next day. I didn't receive it until the following Tuesday due to delays with USPS. I was one day away from being completely out and getting pretty nervous, but it all worked out. If you need your meds urgently, if you're on an uncommon med, if your meds need to be temp controlled, or you're not tech literate I'm not sure I would use Cost Plus. If you do use them, I would HIGHLY recommend to plan WAAAAY ahead to account for any mishaps and still get your meds on time. But for me and my situation, it was ok (after reading the other reviews, I may have just gotten lucky). We'll see how it goes with the refills.

I really like the service, and I save a lot of money on certain generic drugs. In addition, when I buy them at cost plus drugs, it doesn’t count against my Medicare limit. My one area dissatisfaction is that they’re often out of certain pharmaceutical drugs when I need them. Perhaps cost plus drugs has grown too fast to keep up with the demand?

The prices from cost plus drugs are great, but their customer service is terrible as is their website listing of available drugs. The first order I placed was for a medication that was substantially cheaper than the pharmacy I normally use. After placing the order I got an email the next day saying it was out of stock even thought the website said it was in stock. Also, I need arthritis-friendly lids. I live in New York City and the supplier that services this area doesn’t send the meds with these lids. I’ve emailed cost plus 3 times and haven’t gotten a response. When I try calling the supplier I’m on hold forever and can’t get through. Interestingly, my daughter lives in North Carolina and her meds from cost plus comes with the arthritis friendly lids.
