Wonderful products...tragic customer service! Used to be different, not anymore! I am making it my retired ass business to spread the word of a great products fa ll from grace. Despicable!

I purchased this pair of sunglasses in September 2025. In July 2026, where the frame connects to the arm, the joint broke and I am missing a nose pad. Went onto costas website, created an account and filed a warranty claim. Mind you they are less than a year old. The company declined my warranty stating that is not covered by warranty due to it not being the manufacturer’s fault. They also stated that my pair of sunglasses are discontinued, BUT they still have them listed on their website and here on Amazon. I’ve been a costa wearer for years but after my first ever warranty claim, I will not be coming back. I will not wear any luxotica or costa brand again.

I've had 2 sets of Costa Brine shades for 15 years. Never again! When they were based in Daytona Beach, Florida for 40 long years they came with a lifetime warranty and they never required a receipt... you could have gotten them as a gift or simply lost it over the years. The new owners in Italy just refused to replace them two days ago... after a nightmare trying to deal with their AI email service and customer service over the phone in the Phillipines. A company in Italy bought Costa and absolutely refuses to honor the company's previous lifetime warranty. Their quality has gone way down and they only warranty them for 2 years now... while their prices jumped at least 25%. I will never buy from them again and I'll never recommend them to my dive students either. Without a lifetime warranty, they should cost under $100. Otherwise, why bother? 4 days later Okay, I tried the CostaSocialCS@costadel... thing and got the same run around. Pretty sure it's all AI as well. No lifetime warranty or honoring it anymore. The best they'd do is offer 50% off a new pair. The new ones are junk plus cost 25% more and only come with a 2 year warranty now. No thanks... I'll have to pay over $150 to replace mine that came with a lifetime warranty. Costa should have stayed in Daytona Beach and kept real Americans answering their phones, not sent customer service overseas and to AI. Never again... they're literally a rip off today. 4 more days later... Costa AI keeps sending emails from their link below. It's getting annoying because now they're just wasting my time. No actual person to speak to... no customer service of any kind. Same old BS... they're AI email service refuses to honor the lifetime warranty and expects me to pay 50% off for a replacement pair. That's over $150... no thanks! They're not worth half price either... not without a lifetime warranty! Go figure. Costa sunglasses are a rip off now, the lower quality sucks too... never again.

UPDATE: Costa responded to my email so I reached out to them as THEY suggested to follow up on my issue. Weeks have gone by and they still have not responded. Unfortunately it's the same old thing TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. They do NOT stand by their warranty. Nose piece started falling apart as well as the rubber on the side of the glasses. Did a warranty claim and they denied it saying it was not product defective. How is it NOT product defective when the rubber starts disintegrating. I will NEVER buy another pair!!!

I purchased a pair of Trades the first week of April 2026, last week, i had them hanging around my neck and when I put them on there was a crack across one of the lenses. They didn’t fall, weren’t damaged, just a crack across the lens. I sent in a warranty claim that was denied. They claimed it wasn’t a defect but did offer to repair them for $150. They are 4 months old and weren’t abused, that’s a bit ridiculous in my opinion. The glasses themselves are great, but the warranty/customer service department is a joke. I’ve worn Costas for years and recommended them, no more. I won’t buy another pair and will caution people about buying them.

The website offered an introductory promo code and then denied it when I made my first purchase. Feels like a bait-and-switch.

I ordered a pair of the Costa Diego Sunglasses as a reward from my company for 30 years of service. after about 3 weeks of normal daily use, the rubber on the frames began to pull away from the frames near the ears. I tried to submit a warranty claim and was directed to their online warranty form. That form has some serious design flaws but I was able to get all the pics and receipts uploaded. After it was submitted I couldn't see anything about it other than it was "being processed." Communication said that they'd get back to be with in 5 business days. Submitted on Tuesday morning and I didn't hear back until Thursday the FOLLOWING week, 7 Business day / 9 total days. Their correspondence said they couldn't move forward with the claim with the current pictures and needed additional ones. Then in the Notes said they needed a receipt picture, of which I had already provided. So I tried to send them ANOTHER set of pictures for the receipt. It allowed me to upload one of the 3 I had, It was an online order and the email back was split onto 3 pages, then greyed out all the "additional picture upload lines" and the only option I had was to submit. I did and proceeded to receive an email that said they'd get back to me in another 5 business days. And there is NO way to amend the ticket with the additional pictures. attempts to rectify this via online chat has best essentially fruitless. The Customer service reps seem nice but don't have any insight into the request and just seem to be "reading from a script" with how to go about the warranty process. This clearly isn't helping as the process itself is massively flawed. Attempts at calling the phone number have been equally fruitless. I couldn't even get a person on the phone to try to get this issues resolved. AI "couldn't find my request" and that I needed to submit one on line and gave NO option to speak with anyone. All in all, Terrible Warranty process, unempowered online Customer Service reps, and Terrible phone tree options. Not to mention some serious Quality control issues with the product. UPDATE: I've contacted the Company 3 times now and it's just gotten worse. it's a different answer everytime. I've been around long enough to know when I'm getting the run around. every time I provide what they ask for, it's another thing, wait weeks with no answer then contact and it's some new BS reason. If I could give them 0 stars I would. Absolutely terrible. STAY AWAY! UPDATE 2: They finally tell me that their system has only one page of the 3 pages I sent them with respect to my receipt / email I received. So I get my company to give me a one page receipt and send it to them. They tell be this is exactly what they needed.. Wait another 7 business to get an email that the claim is finally accepted and they provide me instructions on how to return and an return label. Only issue now is that I'm camping for a week and I don't have the ability to send them in but have 15days so I should be okay right? WRONG.. Get home, send them the glasses with plenty of time left. The DAY they get them, I get an email stating that my ticket has been closed because I didn't respond to some supposed offer and that if I sent my glasses in, they'll be returned to me. So I had to contact their Customer Service YET AGAIN. They say they'll send me a new pair but I just don't believe them. The experience with this company has been atrocious.
