I normally do not take the time to…
I normally do not take the time to write negative reviews, but my experience with CompTIA customer service was frustrating enough that I felt it was necessary. I was trying to access my Microsoft Client OS course through CompTIA. I first contacted my school, who directed me to their IT department. IT then contacted Barnes & Noble regarding my course materials, and Barnes & Noble ultimately told me that I needed to contact CompTIA directly. After going through all of that just to reach the company that was supposedly able to help me, CompTIA's customer service was extremely unhelpful. They were unable to answer my questions, did very little to help resolve the issue, and I ended the interaction feeling like I had gotten absolutely nowhere. For a company that offers certifications that are widely recognized and respected throughout the IT industry, I expected a much higher level of customer support. Students and professionals spend a significant amount of money on CompTIA courses, training materials, exams, and certifications, and the customer service should reflect that. I rarely write reviews, especially negative ones, but this experience was bad enough that I felt CompTIA deserved the criticism. They seriously need to improve their customer service and provide representatives who are actually able to help customers resolve problems.
