Horrible company, terrible customer service
Needed an extension on my 2 vouchers worth £548 of a couple of months. They asked about my exceptional circumstances which I detailed. They then asked for my documentation to support it which I provided
"Oh sorry we don't extend vouchers under any circumstance, is there anything else we can help you with?"
Ok...so why tell me about this exceptional circumstance scheme, ask me to detail it, and send in supporting documentation? Why does this documentation not meet your requirements? Please can you provide a copy of this policy.

Lots of other providers out there, Microsoft particularly have much higher value certs and better customer service. Stop giving COMPTIA money and they will have to start caring

This is just terrible
This is just terrible. They expect you to get everything correct in their corrected way, my instructor told me that some labs have sims that aren't completed in work. Which is total bs, if anything comptia is just a try-harding cert-builder in their only approved way.
If you are looking for a job, then you need find connections for IT or anything like that because all beginner jobs are AI now and to have a advanced role --- then you need years of experienced just like every job says!!!!!

Horrible customer service
Their customer service is horrible and you might want to just prepare yourself for losing whatever money you spend with them. I had forgotten when I purchased the exam voucher(which is only good for a year, why it isn’t good until you use it is beyond me), I had just checked today finding out it expired 6 days ago. Life gets busy and some things on the back burner are easy to forget. I asked if I could pay a fee to extend it 30 days, nope. They were not willing to work with me at all, so they are okay with just taking your money and producing nothing for you.

An Embarrassment to the IT and Cybersecurity Industry — Look at Alternatives
I genuinely cannot believe an organization that positions itself as an authority in the IT and cybersecurity industry provides an experience this dysfunctional.
I already earned my CompTIA A+ and Security+ certifications since 2019. I am simply trying to renew them. What should have been a straightforward process has turned into hours of troubleshooting CompTIA itself. I absolutely hate dealing with them.
Among the problems I encountered:
• CompTIA somehow added an incorrect letter to my name, even though my original exam score report has my name spelled correctly. To fix THEIR mistake, I had to track down an old exam score report and submit it back to them as proof.
• Their renewal portal tells me I have outstanding CE fees, but instead of simply allowing me to pay them, it asks for a “token” with virtually no useful explanation of what that means, where to obtain one, or whether I even need one when renewing through CertMaster CE.
• Their account system is fragmented between CompTIA Central, Customer Profile, My Shopping Account, and Pearson VUE, with users bounced between different portals just to accomplish basic tasks.
• I had to contact CompTIA directly to determine whether I was eligible to renew using the current Security+ CertMaster CE because the eligibility language on their own website appears to contradict the answer their representative gave me.
• CertMaster CE itself costs $209 just to renew a certification I already earned.
• After finally attempting to purchase it, I completed checkout and was redirected to CompTIA’s “order-confirmation-page”—which returned a 404 Page Not Found error. So after submitting payment information, I was left not even knowing whether my $209 purchase had gone through and had to contact CompTIA AGAIN to make sure I wouldn’t be charged twice.
This is absurd.
For an organization that makes enormous amounts of money from exams, certification renewals, continuing education, training products, and maintenance fees, the basic infrastructure surrounding those products should work.
CompTIA does not deserve this much money from IT professionals while providing an experience this confusing, fragmented, contradictory, and unreliable. Frankly, an organization whose own systems are this poorly designed should be embarrassed to present itself as an authority on information technology.
If you aren’t specifically required by an employer, school, government contract, or career path to obtain a CompTIA credential, I strongly recommend researching alternatives before giving them your money. Depending on your goals, look at ISC2 certifications such as SSCP or CISSP, GIAC certifications such as GSEC or GCIH, or role-specific certifications from organizations such as Cisco or ISACA. There are other respected paths in this industry.
Unfortunately, CompTIA certifications remain widely recognized, which is precisely why experiences like this are so frustrating. Market recognition should not give a certification provider permission to deliver an awful customer experience and assume professionals will continue paying because they have no practical alternative.
I cannot wait for the day when CompTIA faces enough meaningful competition that it either has to dramatically improve or is replaced by organizations that respect professionals’ time and money.
Until then, if you have a choice, look elsewhere.

DON'T TRUST COMPTIA!!!!
DON'T TRUST COMPTIA!!!!! this is a terrible place to enroll on. I passed the A+ exam in June and my Network+ in July. After weeks and months, CompTIA is still not sending my certification kit. Every time I contact them and ask for it, they say, 'Oh, we will resend it.' But whenever I ask for a tracking number, they say they can't give it to me! In other words, they are a hoax and a scam.

Certification kit that never arrives, no solutions provided
I ordered a certification kit, and it never arrived. They’ve been stalling and asking me to wait longer for eight months. It’s ridiculous. I had planned to get other certifications through them, but after experiencing their customer service, I’ll choose other options.

Comptia is a SCAM 100%
Comptia is a SCAM 100%. Won't refund you at all. Absolutely useless support team and over all just useless. I mean paying a huge amount and them just going "oh sorry we don't do refunds" is actually pathetic

They made me buy a second course since…
They made me buy a second course since the first didn’t send a code, but wouldn’t allow me to return the first course even though they were the exact same. Got responded to with an automated email basically saying screw you thanks for the money.
