I contacted Celestron GB. I have had the most amazing and fantastic service from Alex. Absolutely nothing was to much trouble, Alex certainly went above and beyond. I asked for some help with fitting a new part to my telescope. I received a step by step flow chart with photos to make it as easy as it could be. Alex also supplied the part which meant I didn't pay trump tax on the shipping. Well done Alex . A good job done superbly.

Purchased Celestron Nature DX 8x32 binoculars from Amazon for $A200 which was a good price. They were fine at first and I used them lightly without issue. However, when I took them on a multi-month trip this year, they wouldn't focus and produced double images. I contacted Celestron and was told they were out of collimation which basically means the lenses are out of alignment which prevents them focusing. They initially told me I could get a replacement pair as it was within their 2 year replacement period but was subsequently told that collimation is only covered for 30 days! When companies like Vortex offer lifetime warranties without question, Celestron's policy just seems ridiculous. I've tried fixing the binoculars myself and they work for a while but then stop working again so I've thrown them in the bin. Terrible product, terrible company. Avoid at all costs!

Achat d'un télescope en janvier Astrofi 102 ...Problèmes permanants réglages impossibles, à l'origine ce telescope une fois qualibré vous permet d'aller directement sur l'étoile, la planète etc et activer le mode de suivi.....un peu casse tête car pour cela vous devez le diriger depuis votre smartphone, en wifi, via une appli. Déjà ça prévoyez de la batterie voir un 2eme téléphone pour les photos. C'est alimenté par piles, très vite usées donc consommation importante, d'ailleurs le fournisseur recommande l'achat d'une batterie externe, coût supplémentaire car non fournie. Ensuite le wifi est instable, donc se reconnecter en pleine observation...et pour finir l'alignement est souvent impossible donc chercher et suivre une étoile impossible. Exemple coordonnées et heure ok (se munir aussi des applications boussole etc...) lune dans l'objectif, l'appareil me dit que l'objet est pas encore visible....pour rappel il n'y a aucune possibilité de l'utiliser en manuel.....essai en ville à la campagne au bord de l'eau.....rien n'y fait. Et quand je les contacte il m'envoie télécharger une mise à jour qui elle aussi est inutile....appareil sous garantie, réponse sav, si on ne trouve rien vous paierez les frais d'expertise et de retour. Après avoir payé beaucoup trop cher pour la qualité de cet appareil il faudrait encore payer. Acheté chez nature et découverte, qui ont fait leur possible et m'ont transmis la réponse, je suis déçue que la vendeuse qui s'occupe de ce rayon me l'ai recommandé....et du SAV qui ne sert à rien.

Ordered Solar Glasses on the 3rd August so that they would arrive in plenty of time for the UK solar Eclipse on the 12th August. They have still not arrived. I purchased a pack of four in order for my Nieces and myself to see the Eclipse. I was away on holiday from the 7th August, so made a 150 mile round trip to return home, hoping to pick up my order the day before the eclipse to find they had still not arrived! I was furious, as there was a national shortage of glasses and if Celestron had the decency to inform me that I would not receive my order, I could have plenty of time to purchase the glasses from elsewhere. Due to this, I had to explain to my Nieces that they would not be able to witness a once in a lifetime chance to watch a solar eclipse in the UK, we are all devastated. I emailed from the address on my order and the customer service number I took ages to find did not work. In the end I raised and "e ticket" to try and find out where my order was. I did get a refund on the the day of eclipse which really can not even begin to compensate for the impact of missing the eclipse has caused us. I got notified about the refund in an email, however there was not apology from Celestron. The fact the glasses have not since turned up begs to ask the question whether they were ever sent in the first place and that Celestron were taking advantage of a situation to get as much money in their bank account as possible from multiple purchases for a few days gathering interest, raising lots of false hope for people who wanted to see a once in a lifetime event in the UK.

I ordered some eclipse glasses on the 31st July, still not arrived and I leave for holiday today (8th August). Why does it take so long? When i ordered the website said "expected delivery 5th August".....

Fantastic after-sales service! Had a couple of components on my telescope that minor issues that appear to be caused due to damage in transit. These problems emerged at two separate occasions, meaning I had to contact Celestron twice. The first time I dealt with both Ben & Alex, the second time was with Alex again. They could not have been more helpful and the components were replaced swiftly, without any fuss and the telescope is awesome. Thank you!

After nearly ten years of use, the focus wheel on my Celestron Trailfinder binoculars had worked loose. Unable to find a local agent, I contacted Celestron through their website, and heard back the very same day. Alex from their Technical Support Team offered to handle the inspection and repair directly, and even arranged a courier collection on a day that suited me. Within two weeks the binoculars were back in perfect working order, accompanied by a goodwill gift to acknowledge that the repair had taken a little longer than they’d expected. Frankly, two weeks seemed impressive to me, but it’s clear Celestron hold themselves to a higher standard. Throughout, the communication was first rate. And the cost? Nothing at all. Truly exceptional service by any measure. A massive thank you to Alex and the whole team at Celestron.

​I was disappointed with the build quality of this Celestron telescope; it feels significantly less durable than expected for the price point. While they offer a 90-day return window, be aware that the actual return process is overly complex and the shipping costs are prohibitively expensive. Between the hardware issues and the lack of customer-friendly support, I won't be purchasing from this brand again.
