NOTICE TO ALL CUSTOMERS: 2-2-2023; BuyMyPod is experiencing severe unforeseen financial distress. We intend to make any remaining customer accounts whole by sending any payments due ASAP. This may require 30-60 days. If BuyMyPod is left with no choice but to file for chapter 11 bankruptcy, in this event we will still send all payments as we have no plans to avoid the debts. I sent my phone in November 2022. They say they will send payment, but I'm still waiting. I've emailed and texted many times with very little response. Very frustrating to deal with. I will update if payment ever arrives. Received payment with Apple Pay 1/15/23, so I will give another star.

The promises made about payment turnarounds is a huge problem and makes the business suspect, especially to new customers. But this obviously a small family ran company so I think as time goes by many improvements will be made.It was rough getting things straight in the beginning like communication and the timing of payments but I think the Owner means well and doesn’t intend to keep customers waiting.. So my rating is 3 not to discourage others from giving them business. I’m pretty sure things will improve as time and business grows. The biggest change they need to make is to remove all payment promises from their site and be truthful about turn around times. It’s impossible for them to promise everyone a 24 to 48 hr turnaround and stick to it. Larger companies like Gazelle do this effortlessly but smaller scale companies should be honest about the time needed to inspect devices and payout.

Company advertises that you'll receive payment 24hours after they receive your device. 72 hours later I contacted the company and they said my device was not in the condition I stated it was in though I felt it was within the description they provided. The came back with an offer $32 dollars lower than the initial offer. I felt this was a really low ball offer and countered with 1 step down from the initial offer which was $21 lower than the initial. 2 business days later I inquired again and they sent me the payment.

Mr. Jarrett I am sorry you feel this way. Here is the history of the order; The iPhone 6 was submitted as a "good condition" with offer of $160 iPhone which has specific criteria listed on the website. Once received we replied within 72 hours to the order with some stated issues, here is the email; Hi Amos, This is Stacy from BuyMyPod. We received the iPhone, thank you. However the item was listed as "good condition" condition in the original order. The item received however does have some defects such as minor light screen scratches, many small paint chips on the back as well as a small LCD white spot on the top of the screen display. That would allow us to rate the item under a different condition. We currently offer $128 for models like this one. Please message me whenever you have a moment. Whether you would like to proceed with the order, or arrange for the item to be returned, I will be processing everything today. Thanks! Many Blessings, Stacy Tuell CUSTOMER SERVICE MANAGER We then received a reply from the customer, here it is; According to your website "Good Condition" is described as "Cosmetically the device may have some scratches that are visible on the screen or casing, and/or minor nicks". I'm not sure what you are describing as a small LCD white spot as the screen was near perfect when shipped with screen cover and case. Your website even a device in "Acceptable Condition" described as "heavy scratching/nicks", which I would not consider mine to have, values at $139. Would you be willing to offer at least that? We then replied; I will find out about the Acceptable rate. The little white spot in the LCD is a tiny little dot that is basically comprised of dead pixels. It is small, it can be something that generally occurs from having a screen glass replaced or other causes. I will update you asap. Thanks, Stacy Within 2 days from that point we authorized the payment of $139 which was higher than our original adjusted offer to accommodate for condition.
