I thought that the classes and the instructor, Mark Lansley, were fun and provided me good explanations to a lot of my questions.

My instructor was great and the one on one time was perfect, I hope to be able to use berlitz in the future.

The teachers are different every lesson and the style of teaching varies. Some instructors are not experienced.

I had a very nice experience in Berlitz NYC. Because I realized I like to study English that is fun again. Sometimes I feel like a cold reaction to me from some people and it makes me low-key to learn language. But I think Ms.Lara is different. She teached me it's fun. She is great teacher I think. Thank you so much.

Good teachers, but they are independent contractors for Berlitz, and not Berlitz employees. Berlitz employees do not actually teach you the language. This leads to confusion over scheduling, and obtaining class materials, especially for online-based learning. If this review were for the effort of the teachers, I would provide 5 stars, as they try very hard to teach you with the limited support they have from Berlitz. If this review it was strictly for Berlitz, I would give one star, as the company seems to be disorganized, not technologically advanced with many online learning session problems, and an inattention to detail.

The only reason I’m not giving 5 stars is the lack of emphasis of grammar. I thought it was great talking and learning via PowerPoint but I was lucky given that I am fluent in Spanish already. So for a novice trying to learn Portuguese, I think it’d be a lot more difficult without explaining certain things like conjugation and other grammar.

I take English classes with Patricia Petersen. She's a great teacher.

Great instructor. Great system for learning. I am taking Russian. It's a very difficult language to learn. I tried learning it with Rosetta Stone but it wasn't working. My instructor is very patient and good at teaching .
