Don't bother - book elsewhere
so, where do I start.... Check-in - I was never asked if I wanted a TV remote or to use the safe, but when I went back the next day, I was told it would be a €10 deposit for the remote (free and in the room at every other hotel I've ever stayed in!) and €18 for the safe! I took the remote for zero in the end as they wanted cash and I didn't have any, so they just gave it to me. I was also not told that I need to take the little cardboard wallet, that the room keys were in, when I went for my very late evening meal on the first night, so I had an argument with the restaurant staff, who eventually let me in. Restaurant - 1. This was more like a cattle market with so many people having to use the same "International" restaurant, plus the fact that it closed at 21:30, which is too early. 2. You also need to employ more staff to deal with the thousands of people using the restaurant as they couldn't keep up with clearing the tables for others to use. You also need to give your staff training on customer satisfaction as the one time I asked a member of staff to clear a table, rather than just piling all the dishes up myself and getting my own knife & fork, she came and removed the plates, but not the glasses and didn't even bother to clean the table, so again I ended up doing it myself! 3. The quality of the food needs looking into as well as certainly not up to a 3* standard! 4. The plates and cutlery as need to be washed better. I can't remember how many times I had to pick up more than 1 plate to find one that was clean, and the same with the cutlery. The Room - I suffer from Restless Leg Syndrome which means if my legs are too hot at night they will twitch so much that they wake me up even allowing for the prescribed tablets I take, but I thought that would be OK as I made sure there was aircon in the room before booking, but I was not able to adjust it and it was set at a very high 25°C. I went to reception and asked to be able to adjust it, but they said it was fixed. They did say they would ask the engineers if they would adjust it for me, but no-one ever came to do that, and I was not even told that they wouldn’t, so I didn't get a decent night’s sleep all week. The beds have memory foam mattresses and as soon as you sit on them, they sink a lot! way too soft, luckily the sofa was a lot harder, so I ended up sleeping on that all week. There was a kitchen area in the room but no cloths to wash up with or tea towels to dry with. Bin Emptying - why do you allow the emptying of the large bins outside to be done at 2am! It wouldn't be so bad if they just tipped them up to empty them, but they were banging each one at least 3 times to make sure all the rubbish was out, again waking me up!!
