BeckerReviews of becker.com

Really enjoying the Skill Builder questions and can tell that you guys are trying to build that out more. Also, Mike Potenza is the best teacher!

I used Becker to pass the CPA. I think Becker does a good job of teaching each topic possibly presented on the exam. However there is more that goes into the exam. The passing metric of correct % is hard to achieve because it often takes too long to get through each problem set. You forget previously learned information by the time you work through the next module of information. I think Becker could add a lot more mini sessions of review in between the modules (yes, modules, not chapters). And give more study strategy suggestions. In most of the forums I’ve read, people have strategies to optimizing their use of Becker to actually pass. I don’t think most people are able to pass just by going through the material one time and achieving the percentages on the first run through. People need to know that it often takes 2-3 run throughs of the material. Also, the new review doesn’t even have practice problems. It’s honestly a waste of time to look at it. Overall, I loved that Becker had a lot of practice problems and videos and clearly laid out the expected material in an orderly format. Becker could include more review and realistic study strategies.

Worth the money. Passed all four exams

I noticed that there are marketed additional study materials for only the audit section. I think that the course material should be revised if the core becker material is not sufficient for your test takers to pass their exams. I studied hard for this exam and am in the audit profession and I thought I was well prepared based on the Becker course.

Becker has been an excellent resource for helping me prepare for the CPA exam. Their instructors are committed to helping students pass the exam on their first attempt by providing excellent video lectures and study materials that are continuously updated. I highly recommend Becker to anyone studying for the CPA exam.

Way too expensive

Modules are easy to follow and understand. The actual exam is very closely related to the simulated exams Becker has. Most importantly, I passed all my exams on the first try thanks to Becker.

I used Becker initially for my CPA and then for my CMA. I successfully completed both certifications on my first try for each exam. Becker is a fantastic course provider and they explain the material very well. I personally watched all of the lectures at 2x speed and put extra effort into the practice problems and homework. They also gave great support whenever I had questions. It is definitely a pricey course however well worth it considering if you do everything they tell you and truly try to understand the concepts (don't try to memorize, it is WAY too much content) you will be fine for the exams. Also, knowing that if I fail and did everything they told me to be exam day ready and that I would get my retake paid for gave me a lot of peace of mind and incentive to actually complete the course. TLDR: Pricey, but you get what you pay for. Well worth it and gives a clear path to follow to licensure.
