Becker's content and study plan feature are very helpful. The initial call center experience could be improved. But overall I am very satisfied.

Great mobile app, friendly user interface, questions are challenging, LiveOnline courses were very useful summaries of the slides.

Love the way the lectures are structured and the mcqs. Mini exams were super helpful and practice exams as well.

I don’t think I could have ever passed the tests without this program. It does a great job of preparing you for all of the exams.

I'm not gonna waste your time, here's all the details I would tell a friend. About me: Parent / Working / Early 30's / Took forever to finish school due to first two reasons. 50% complete with CPA. Pros to Becker: Physical book: I'm old, I like to have a physical book to take with me in the car to read during down time. Format: Website is easy to use. App for phone/iPad are easy to use. Lectures: If you love lectures or listening while commuting, Becker has you COVERED. Exam day tips: The book has lots of little "exam day tips" with things that are good to remember etc. These are gold. Video explanations: SIMS aka the worst word math problem you have ever had on steroids. Becker has a lot for you to practice and master, they also have CPA's who make videos explaining step by step how to get the answer with helpful tips. These are gold. Price point: Becker isn't pulling the subscription madness everyone else is. You buy it, you use it, they cut you off if you haven't used it in (years). Reasonable! Cons: Price point: Becker is $$$$ - they run a lot of deals so watch for one. Ridged Structure: Becker has a ridged structure much like a college class. It took me a while to realize that did not work for me. I think this might be a more me problem. Facebook page: The Becker fb support pages ANGER me. The amount of people asking for details about what was on your exam is absolutely insane and makes you question if anyone holds to ethical standards. (In case you don't know, if you get caught talking about what you saw on your exam you can get barred from taking the exam for 5 years.) I personally think it reflects poorly on Becker that they allow it / don't monitor it. Digital Book: You can get a physical book and read the digital book on the app/web but you cannot download the book in its entirety. Maybe I'm too picky, but I just want to be able to view the ENTIRE digital book not just each module in the app. Failed Exam: Becker has a deal on one of the levels that if you complete all the requirements and still fail the exam they will give you $250 to pay for the re-test. They use a AWFUL company that basically sends you a digital debit card that expires in a few months. Once you setup that mess, you go to pay to retest and realize the $250 is short of the total fee and you can't split payments. Soooooo, you then realize that Becker recommends you use the debit card to buy a gift card. I did the entire process because I wasn't leaving money on the table, but a check would have been so much faster and better. It was frustrating. All in all, I gave Becker 3 stars because while I like it, I think the price is way too high in comparison to some of the smaller companies that do not advertise as well. Do they offer everything you need to pass? Absolutely. Is it the ONLY program that will help you pass CPA like I originally thought because of excellent marketing? Nope. Good luck! CPA is a prestigious title and I am proud to have the opportunity to take the exams.
