Founded by actress and animal activist Katherine Heigl, we create products made with some of the healthiest foods on Earth — like premium, hearty beef from suppliers who care about the humane treatment of animals, as well as hand-selected superfoods for canine health. We also make it a priority to employ safe, responsible cooking practices by slow-cooking and air-drying our dog food to ensure maximum freshness and nutritional content. It’s all the good stuff your dog needs to thrive, with none of the bad. Named for her ranch in Utah where the Heigl Family rescues animals, Badlands Ranch stands for treating every dog with love and respect. That’s why it is a proud sponsor of the Jason Debus Heigl Foundation and its rescue efforts, medical care, obedience training, and placement of dogs in happy, loving homes. With every purchase of a Badlands Ranch product, you’re not just helping your dog achieve a healthier life… you’re helping another dog in need find a forever home.

All three of our dogs LOVE the food! I have been pouring it on top of the current food I feed them. Sometimes, two of them only eat the Badlands food and leave the rest. I think they have taken puppy uppers as they get crazy energy about an hour after eating. My lab waits at the kitchen counter drooling as I prepare his food. He's never done this!!!!

I've known for quite a while that kibble is not good for my animals. My sister actually makes her own dog food. But I just don't have the time to do that. And once I started feeding them badlands. My dog's absolutely love it, and I've noticed their coats have gotten a lot softer. Their paws used to be really rough. They have smoothed out. Overall, my dogs just absolutely love it. I use it more of a topper along with some fresh ingredients as well.

My dog eats every bit of it, he loves it!

I got this for our older shepherd who needs to lose weight. She wouldn’t eat the food suggested by our vet. But she is 15 pounds overweight which doesn’t help with her hips and back. She loves the food. Now our 2 year old Great Pyrenees won’t eat unless we put some in his food.

Diggity really likes the food, and it seems to be holding his interest. I do make the pieces a little smaller since I blend it with his kibble. His poop seems more consistent and easy - he has had difficulty pooping at times, and his poop can be messy or sticky, but the past few weeks have been great.

I have 2 chihuahua’s and for the last 2 years I’ve made there food with Chicken and veggies, it was always a favorite with no problems eating it. Since I have introduced Badlands 1 of them does not eat the homemade food only your product. She appears to be doing well.
