Founded by actress and animal activist Katherine Heigl, we create products made with some of the healthiest foods on Earth — like premium, hearty beef from suppliers who care about the humane treatment of animals, as well as hand-selected superfoods for canine health. We also make it a priority to employ safe, responsible cooking practices by slow-cooking and air-drying our dog food to ensure maximum freshness and nutritional content. It’s all the good stuff your dog needs to thrive, with none of the bad. Named for her ranch in Utah where the Heigl Family rescues animals, Badlands Ranch stands for treating every dog with love and respect. That’s why it is a proud sponsor of the Jason Debus Heigl Foundation and its rescue efforts, medical care, obedience training, and placement of dogs in happy, loving homes. With every purchase of a Badlands Ranch product, you’re not just helping your dog achieve a healthier life… you’re helping another dog in need find a forever home.

Our 7 year old Golden Retriever, Penny, loves your Badlands Complete! She gets so excited as soon as she hears the bag being opened. I use it as a topper to her Canine brand dog food simply because yours is way too expensive for it to be her regular meal. She does love yours so very much and I do wish I could feed her yours exclusively, but as I mentioned, it’s too expensive.

The food is delicious to our pug, Darla. She can’t wait to eat everyday and absolutely licks the bowl afterwards. It feels great knowing we are giving her the best possible option with regards to nutrition in keeping her healthy throughout her life. She’s been eating this food for two months and I don’t see her licking her paws or shaking her head from itchy ears anymore. We are a very satisfied customer. Thank you for caring so much about our animals. The consumer gets lied to so much when it comes to what’s in store brand dog food and we really need to demand better from our government.

First of all my yorkie terrier loves it she doesn't really eat her other dry dog food anymore which sucks cause your food is so expensive but she is more energetic seems healthier and her coat is so soft and her poops omg, it's like dang how does that come out of such a small body lol! The down side is the food is not made for small dogs so I have to put it in a food processor so I can chop it up which sucks then I mix it with her wet food so it last longer, so looks like I got to keep buying it, anything to keep my little Isabelle happy 😊

Our 4 ranch dogs LOVE the food. I add a handful or two to their other dog food to make it go farther. I wish the cost wasn't so much feeding 4 dogs takes a lot of food! BUT THEY DO LOVE IT!!!
