Founded by actress and animal activist Katherine Heigl, we create products made with some of the healthiest foods on Earth — like premium, hearty beef from suppliers who care about the humane treatment of animals, as well as hand-selected superfoods for canine health. We also make it a priority to employ safe, responsible cooking practices by slow-cooking and air-drying our dog food to ensure maximum freshness and nutritional content. It’s all the good stuff your dog needs to thrive, with none of the bad. Named for her ranch in Utah where the Heigl Family rescues animals, Badlands Ranch stands for treating every dog with love and respect. That’s why it is a proud sponsor of the Jason Debus Heigl Foundation and its rescue efforts, medical care, obedience training, and placement of dogs in happy, loving homes. With every purchase of a Badlands Ranch product, you’re not just helping your dog achieve a healthier life… you’re helping another dog in need find a forever home.

My little guy just started with this food about a month ago. He is a Shih-Poo and there has definitely been a change in his coat. It’s thicker and a-bit more fluffy. I was excited to try this wonderful dog food after doing my research. I was very satisfied with the selection of ingredients.

Finn LOVES the Superfood!!! When I decided to try the first bag he was experiencing joint pain and severely itchy skin to the point he needed to be put on antibiotics. His poop was hard, dry and I would assume uncomfortable. We have added the Superfood as a topper to his regular food for about a month. His joint pain is gone. He is jumping again!!! He has almost completely stopped scratching/chewing his skin and we have noticed large improvements in his digestive sensitivity. Thank you!!!

This is my best experience with dog food. Just the fact that food is a really natural complete nutrition (i do not need to add vitamins to it or omega-3 for ex...) as it says it is, gives me peace and hope for my 11 years old dogs... Thank you

So far my 16 yr old toy poodle loves it. Some of the larger pieces I have to break up. I have stored it in an airtight container to keep it fresh so it won't get hard to chew and maintain its freshness. Would you consider smaller airtight sealed bags for smaller dogs to make sure it doesn't get stale before he finishes the bag?

We changed to this food because one of my two new puppies was having very messy loose stools and we tried adding pumpkin, sweet potatoes, and nothing worked till adding this product to the mix. It's expensive and I mix half with Blue Buffalo and sweet potato, and this seems to be the winning combination. we are now having well-formed firm poops.

This is a great product. I’m trying to learn how much to give my babies. I have a 12-year-old border collie named Martin and I have a 10-year-old Yorky named Sara. She seems to get a upset stomach. But they’re both plain and seem really happy with it. I’m just trying to figure out how much I’m supposed to feed them

I use as a topper on their food. My dogs are on prescription food for different ailments, and I have found this has helped them enjoy their food more, as well as be more active. Our daily walks are getting longer since adding this to their food, and I’m about to add a second walk.
