Founded by actress and animal activist Katherine Heigl, we create products made with some of the healthiest foods on Earth — like premium, hearty beef from suppliers who care about the humane treatment of animals, as well as hand-selected superfoods for canine health. We also make it a priority to employ safe, responsible cooking practices by slow-cooking and air-drying our dog food to ensure maximum freshness and nutritional content. It’s all the good stuff your dog needs to thrive, with none of the bad. Named for her ranch in Utah where the Heigl Family rescues animals, Badlands Ranch stands for treating every dog with love and respect. That’s why it is a proud sponsor of the Jason Debus Heigl Foundation and its rescue efforts, medical care, obedience training, and placement of dogs in happy, loving homes. With every purchase of a Badlands Ranch product, you’re not just helping your dog achieve a healthier life… you’re helping another dog in need find a forever home.

Our three dogs love this food! Two of them are on a prescription diet so I sprinkle some of this on their food and they love it. The other dog would eat the whole bag if he could get to it. We have not tried the beef yet, only the chicken. I would highly recommend this dog food and its so easy to feed.

My dog is such a picky eater and she begs for people food all the time! Since we have Ben feeding her Badlands she just eats her food while we eat our dinner, no begging at the table and she is happy and satisfied! Also her digestive and elimination issues have all gone away! I am thrilled!!! A very happy dog momma over here 🐾

My dogs like the food but it is too expensive for me

To be honest, I had just subscribed to The Farmer's Dog to try to ward off the impending diabetes I was expecting my dog to suffer from. He is a table food junkie. I saw your FB ad and watched your video. TFD is very expensive and I really couldn't afford to try your dog food, but I did because Gerald (my dog) was not getting into TFD. He would only eat it to keep the cat from eating it. (lol) From the day your box arrived, he loved it. In fact, while I was unpacking it, he was so excited so I immediately opened a bag and offered him a handful. HE ATE EVERY BITE! It didn't take long for me to cancel my subscription to TFD. Thank you for NOT requiring a subscription! Thank you for food my dog will eat!

We Rescued a 18 month Shar Pei ! We had very little history on what he had been feed and noticed some balding in his fur. If you know anything about the breed you would know they are sensitive & are allergic to many foods ! Since trying Badlands & encourage by Ms Heigl presentation we now have a handsome, happy Sharpei. We and Mr. Gunner thank you.
